"WILL YOU DIE?" BY DAVID MCMILLEN
HAVE YOU EVER HEARD SOMEONE SAY THAT THEY WOULD NEVER DIE? I AM TALKING ABOUT THEM BELIEVING THAT THEY WILL BE HERE WHEN JESUS COMES BACK, EVEN IF IT IS A THOUSAND YEARS.
I ONCE THOUGHT THESE PEOPLE WERE CRAZY BUT I CAN SEE WHERE THEY GET THIS FROM (JOHN 11:26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.) I THINK THIS IS WHY JESUS TAUGHT SO MUCH USING PARABLES. JESUS SAYS THIS IN MATTHEW 13:13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. IT IS TRUE THAT YOUR SPIRIT WILL NEVER DIE. SO I GUESS YOU COULD SAY THEY ARE RIGHT. THEY JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND. I GUESS THIS IS WHAT JESUS IS TALKING ABOUT WHEN HE SAID "because they seeing see not"
THEY DON'T REALIZE THAT GOD HAS A DIFFERENT INTERPRETATION OF DEATH THAN THEY DO. DEATH TO THEM IS AN END BUT IT IS NOT. OUR BODIES WILL CEASE TO EXIST BUT OUR SPIRITS WILL NEVER DIE. THERE ARE ONLY TWO PEOPLE MENTIONED IN THE BIBLE WHO DID NOT PHYSICALLY DIE. ONE WAS ENOCH AND IN GENESIS 5:24 IT SAYS "And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him." THE OTHER ONE WAS ELIJAH AND IN 2ND KINGS 2:11 IT SAYS " And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven." GOD TOOK THEM BOTH. THIS IS WHAT WE CHRISTIANS WILL EXPERIENCE IF WE ARE ALIVE WHEN JESUS COMES BACK. LOOK WHAT IS SAYS IN 1ST THESSALONIANS 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. WHAT A GLORIOUS TIME THAT WILL BE.
SO, JUST REMEMBER THAT YOUR SPIRIT WILL NEVER DIE AND JUST MAKE SURE YOU KNOW WHERE YOU WILL LIVE OUT ETERNITY....HEAVEN OR HELL?
