HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT OF YOURSELF AS ONE OF GOD'S LITTLE ONES? WELL YOU ARE. LUKE 17:2 SAYS "It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones." GOD TAKES IT PERSONALLY WHEN SOMEONE HURTS ONE OF HIS CHILDREN. IT SAYS IN ROMANS 12-19 "Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written , Vengeance is mine; I will repay , saith the Lord."
SAUL OF TARSUS, (HIS ROMAN FAMILY NAME WAS PAULUS OR PAUL) WAS PERSECUTING THE JEWS AND EVEN HAD LETTERS FROM THE SANHEDRIN GIVING HIM THE AUTHORITY TO DO THIS. HE EVEN HELD THE CLOTHES OF THOSE WHO STONED STEPHEN TO DEATH. WHEN HE WAS ON HIS WAY TO DAMASCUS, JESUS SAID TO HIM, "Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?" WHEN WE PERSECUTE ONE OF GOD'S CHILDREN, IT IS PERSECUTING GOD, HIMSELF.
THINK ABOUT THIS WHEN YOU ARE PERSECUTING SOMEONE. THE DEFINITION OF PERSECUTE IS "In a general sense, to pursue in a manner to injure, vex or afflict; to harass with unjust punishment or penalties for supposed offenses; to inflict pain from hatred or malignity." ALSO REMEMBER WHEN WE WOULD LIKE TO FIGHT BACK THAT GOD IS TO FIGHT OUR BATTLES. HE WILL DO A MUCH BETTER JOB THAN WE COULD EVER DO. THINK ABOUT THIS......IF THERE IS NO GOD WHO WILL FIGHT FOR US, THEN TURNING THE OTHER CHEEK WOULD DO NO GOOD. BUT, IF THERE IS A GOD WHO PROMISES THAT HE WILL TAKE CARE OF THOSE THINGS AND HE WILL REPAY, THEN US DOING IT SHOWS A LACK OF FAITH IN GOD. BE STRONG AND KNOW THAT GOD IS IN CONTROL.
DON'T LET SATAN ROB YOU. THE BIBLE SAYS RESIST THE DEVIL AND HE WILL FLEE FROM YOU. USE THE POWER YOU HAVE. 1ST JOHN 4:4 SAYS "Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world." BE THANKFUL THAT YOU ARE A CHILD OF GOD.
