IF SATAN PUTS THOUGHTS IN YOUR MIND THAT MAKES YOU NOT WANT TO BELIEVE WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS, DON'T FEEL BAD, HE HAS BEEN DOING THIS THROUGHOUT TIME. JESUS SAID THAT JOHN THE BAPTIST WAS THE GREATEST MAN THAT WAS EVER BORN (JOHN 11:11 Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist.) AND SATAN DECEIVED HIM TO THE POINT THAT JOHN SENT ONE OF HIS OWN DISCIPLES TO JESUS TO ASK HIM IF HE WAS REALLY THE ONE.
LOOK HOW JESUS HANDLED THE QUESTION. LUKE 7:20-22 SAYS When the men came to Jesus, they said, “John the Baptist sent us to you to ask, ‘Are you the one who is to come, or should we expect someone else?’” At that very time Jesus cured many who had diseases, sicknesses and evil spirits, and gave sight to many who were blind. So he replied to the messengers, “Go back and report to John what you have seen and heard: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor.
JESUS DID NOT TELL THEM THAT HE WAS THE ONE, HE REFERRED JOHN BACK TO THE SCRIPTURE WHERE IT SAYS IN LUKE 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted , to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised.
JESUS JUST TOLD THEM TO GO BACK AND TELL JOHN WHAT THEY HAD SEEN AND HEARD BECAUSE RIGHT THEN HE WAS FULFILLING THE SCRIPTURE. THIS WOULD SHOW JOHN THAT JESUS WAS THE ONE. SO, WHEN YOU GET DISCOURAGED, GET INTO THE BIBLE AND HAVE FAITH TO BELIEVE GOD AT HIS WORD AND ALL DISCOURAGEMENT WILL FADE AWAY. JUST TRUST HIM. HE SAID TO CAST ALL YOUR CARES UPON HIM SO JUST DO IT.
