DON'T EVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF PRAYER. AND, WHEN YOU ASK SOMEONE TO PRAY FOR YOU, BE CAREFUL THAT IT IS NOT SOMEONE THAT IS PRAYING IN UNBELIEF. THAT MIGHT SOUND STRANGE BUT THERE ARE PEOPLE THAT SAY THEY WILL PRAY FOR YOU THAT ARE NOT EVEN BORN AGAIN. THEY THINK IT SOUNDS GOOD, OR LOOKS GOOD ON FACEBOOK, BUT WHICH GOD ARE THEY PRAYING TO. YOU CANNOT SERVE TWO MASTERS. MATTHEW 6:24 SAYS "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon."
THE BEST THING TO DO IS TO GET A PRAYER PARTNER. IN MATTHEW 18:19, JESUS TELLS US THAT IF TWO OF US AGREE ON ANYTHING AND ASK GOD FOR IT, IT WILL BE DONE. "Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven." IF YOU ARE MARRIED, YOUR SPOUSE WOULD BE A GREAT PRAYER PARTNER. IF NOT, IT CAN BE A FRIEND ON THE PHONE IF THAT IS WHAT IT TAKES. IT IS GOOD IF THE TWO OF YOU CAN GET TOGETHER IN PERSON BUT I KNOW THAT IS NOT ALWAYS POSSIBLE. JESUS, IN MATTHEW 18:20, GOES ON TO SAY THAT WHEN YOU TWO ARE GATHERED IN HIS NAME, HE WILL BE IN THE MIDST OF YOU. "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." YOU CAN GATHER, ON THE PHONE, IN HIS NAME, AND HE WILL BE RIGHT THERE WITH YOU BOTH.
Just wanted to conclude that prayer is communication and we are talking to God in prayer. Christ is the High Priest, the intercessor. We can petition God for something, make a request. God hears the prayers of the righteous and he extends his mercy to others as well. God is love. Real love. The world is huge and many people have suffered and lost their lives and I bet people that prayed. The Apostles, disciples and believers prayed and many of them lost their lives at the hands of evil. Honor God in every way possible and forgive people. The heart must be right with God but I think it is logical and proper to honor any parent with respect and glorify God being the most HOLY GOD there is. And, YES PEOPLE he is REAL. Wake UP!!! There is no one like him. Praise Johovah.
