"DON'T PUT GOD IN A BOX" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

I NEVER REALLY THOUGHT ABOUT JESUS AND PATIENCE TOGETHER.  IT IS NOT THAT I THOUGHT HE HAD NO PATIENCE BECAUSE WHEN YOU THINK OF WHAT HE PUT UP WITH ON A DAILY BASIS WITH HIS DISCIPLES, YOU KNOW HE HAD TO HAVE PATIENCE.  IT GOES A LOT FARTHER THAN JUST HIS DISCIPLES.  I AM TALKING ABOUT THE CROSS.  LOOK WHAT THE NOAH'S 1828 DICTIONARY SAYS ABOUT PATIENCE.  PATIENCE---The suffering of afflictions, pain, toil, calamity, provocation or other evil, with a calm, unruffled temper; endurance without murmuring or fretfulness.  HE SUFFERED ALL OF THIS AND THEN HE ASK GOD TO FORGIVE THOSE PEOPLE WHO WERE DOING THAT TO HIM.

I NEVER KNEW HOW CLOSE HOPE AND PATIENCE GO TOGETHER UNTIL I READ ROMANS 5:2-5 WHICH SAYS "By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us."  WE MUST EXERCISE OUR PATIENCE, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT COMES TO PRAYER.  WE GET UPSET IF WE DON'T SEE THE ANSWER IN THE FIRST FIVE MINUTES.  DON'T PUT GOD IN A BOX.  HE SEES THE WHOLE PICTURE AND HE LOVES US AND KNOWS WHEN WE NEED THINGS.  AND, HE KNOWS THAT SOMETIMES WE DON'T NEED THEM AND IT WOULD BE HARMFUL IF WE HAD THEM.  TRUST IN HIM, HE KNOWS BEST.

ONE OTHER THING ABOUT PUTTING GOD IN A BOX.  WATCH HOW YOU PRAY.  IT IS OK TO PRAY TO GET A JOB OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT AND IT IS OK TO SAY "IF IT BE YOUR WILL".  BUT IF YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT TWO JOBS, DON'T ASK HIM WHICH YOU SHOULD TAKE.  HE MIGHT NOT WANT YOU TO HAVE EITHER ONE.  IT IS LIKE WHEN PETER WALKED ON THE WATER.  HE SAID IN MATTHEW 14:28-29 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.  And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.  THE PROBLEM WITH THIS IS THAT PETER DIDN'T GIVE JESUS  A CHANCE TO SAY ANYTHING ELSE BUT COME.  HE COULDN'T SAY IT WAS NOT HIM.  I HOPE YOU ALL SEE WHAT I MEAN.  JUST DON'T PUT HIM IN A BOX.  LET HIM MAKE THE DECISIONS FOR YOU.

GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
