I AM AN 80 YEAR OLD MALE, BORN AGAIN, CHRISTIAN WITH A LOVE FOR JESUS. I DO NOT GET OUT MUCH ANYMORE BUT FIND THAT TELLING PEOPLE ABOUT THE LOVE JESUS HAS FOR THEM IS NOT ONLY WHAT WE ARE SUPPOSED TO DO BUT SOMETHING THAT THE WORLD NEEDS.

"BEING JUSTIFIED BY FAITH IN JESUS" BY DAVID MCMILLEN
THE DICTIONARY DEFINES "JUSTIFIED" AS "To demonstrate or prove to be just, right, or valid...To declare free of blame; absolve...To free (a human) of the guilt and penalty attached to grievous sin." I GUESS YOU COULD BE JUSTIFIED IN MANY WAYS BUT HOW DOES THE BIBLE SAY YOU ARE JUSTIFIED?
FIRST, IT SAYS WE ARE NOT JUSTIFIED BY THE WORKS OF THE LAW, THE LAW BEING THE TEN COMMANDMENTS AND THE LAWS FOR THE JEWS TO FOLLOW. (EXODUS 24:12 And the LORD said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them.) NO ONE EXCEPT JESUS COULD, OR EVER WILL, BE ABLE TO KEEP ALL THE LAW AND LOOK WHAT JAMES SAYS. (JAMES 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.) IF YOU ARE TRYING TO GET TO HEAVEN ON YOUR GOOD WORKS, IT IS JUST NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.
SO, HOW ARE WE JUSTIFIED? HOW ABOUT FAITH IN JESUS? THAT IS WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS. (GALATIANS 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.) FAITH IN JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY. HE EVEN SAID THIS HIMSELF IN JOHN 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
IT DOESN'T MATTER IF YOU HAVE BEEN GOING TO CHURCH ALL YOUR LIFE, HELPING THE POOR AND YOU HAVE DONE EVERY GOOD DEED YOU CAN THINK OF, IF YOU HAVE NOT ACCEPTED JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR, YOU ARE LOST. YOU MIGHT ASK HOW CAN GOD LET THIS HAPPEN? GOD DIDN'T LET IT HAPPEN...YOU DID. IF THIS IS YOU, GOD GAVE YOU A CHOICE. I OFTEN WONDER HOW MUCH MORE PEOPLE WANT FROM GOD? HE, THE CREATOR OF ALL, CAME TO THIS EARTH AS A BABY, SUFFERED ALL THE REJECTION IN HIS MINISTRY AND THEN WENT TO THE CROSS TO DIE FOR US SO WE WOULDN'T HAVE TO FACE THE WRATH THAT IS TO COME. I THINK THAT IS ENOUGH, DON'T YOU?
THE REALLY NEAT THINGS ABOUT SALVATION IS THAT AS MUCH AS JESUS SUFFERED ALL THOSE YEARS, IT ONLY TAKES US A FEW MINUTES TO ACCEPT HIM. DOESN'T SEEM LIKE WE HAVE TO DO ENOUGH, DOES IT? OUR DOING COMES AFTER WE ACCEPT HIM. WE NEED TO TELL PEOPLE WHAT HE HAS DONE FOR US. THIS IS THE LEAST WE CAN DO. WON'T YOU TELL SOMEONE TODAY?
JUSTIFIED, TO ME, MEANS JUST AS IF I HAD NEVER SINNED. THAT IS THE WAY GOD LOOKS AT US. HE SEES US THROUGH JESUS AND TO HIM, WE ARE PURE. NOW WE NEED TO STRIVE TO BE AS PURE AS WE CAN. JUST USE YOUR FAITH AND BELIEVE ALL THE THINGS HE WANTS US TO HAVE. IF NOTHING ELSE, DO IT TO PLEASE GOD. REMEMBER HEBREWS :116 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. I WANT TO PLEASE HIM....HOW ABOUT YOU?
