ARE YOUR PRAYERS BEING ANSWERED?
HOW IS YOUR PRAYER LIFE THESE DAYS? I HAVE TALKED ABOUT THIS BEFORE BUT WE TEND TO FORGET THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS ABOUT OUR PRAYERS. I KNOW JESUS TELLS US IN MATTHEW 7:7 TO "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you." HOWEVER, IT IS NOT SO CUT AND DRY AS THIS VERSE MAKES IT OUT. THE VERSE IS TRUE BECAUSE JESUS SAID IT BUT IT IS NOT A BLANK CHECK TO JUST GET WHATEVER YOU WANT AS SOME PEOPLE THINK. THERE ARE THINGS WE HAVE TO DO.
FIRST OF ALL, OUR PRAYERS HAVE TO LINE UP WITH GOD'S WORD. HE IS NOT GOING TO DO ANYTHING AGAINST HIS WORD. MARK 11:24 TELLS US WHAT WE HAVE TO DO WHEN IT SAYS "What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. MATTHEW 21:22 SAYS JUST ABOUT THE SAME THING WHEN IT SAYS "And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive." DO YOU BELIEVE YOU HAVE RECEIVED YOUR ANSWER WHEN YOU PRAY? MARK 11:25 GOES ON TO SAY "And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses." DO YOU HAVE FORGIVENESS IN YOUR HEART WHEN YOU PRAY OR ARE YOU HOLDING A GRUDGE AGAINST SOMEONE?
SO, IF YOU BELIEVE YOU HAVE RECEIVED AND YOU HAVE FORGIVEN THOSE YOU HELD A GRUDGE AGAINST, WHAT ELSE IS THERE TO DO? 1ST THESSALONIANS 5:18 TELLS US "In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." THANK HIM FOR WHAT YOU HAVE RECEIVED AND DON'T KEEP PRAYING FOR IT OVER AND OVER AGAIN. IF YOU ARE, THEN YOU DID NOT BELIEVE YOU RECEIVED IT. I KNOW IT IS HARD TO DO WHEN YOU DON'T SEE IT MANIFESTED IN YOUR LIFE BUT YOU DO HAVE IT. IF YOU DIDN'T, JESUS WOULD NOT HAVE TOLD YOU. IT IS IN THE SPIRIT REALM AND YOU HAVE TO USE YOUR FAITH AS A BRIDGE TO GET IT INTO THE NATURAL WORLD. YOU HAVE TO RENEW YOUR MIND TO THE THINGS OF THE SPIRIT. OUR OLD CARNAL MIND HAS TO BE CHANGED. LOOK WHAT IT SAYS IN ROMANS 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
GET IN THE WORD AND BUILD YOUR FAITH. ROMANS 10:17 SAYS "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." STUDY AND LEARN ALL YOU CAN ABOUT JESUS. HE EVEN TELLS US TO LEARN OF HIM IN MATTHEW 11:29 WHERE HE SAYS "Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls." WE CAN HAVE A GREAT PRAYER LIFE IF WE WILL JUST DO WHAT JESUS TELLS US TO DO. I AM GOING TO DO IT, WHAT ABOUT YOU?
