REASONS FOR GOING TO CHURCH
DO YOU GO TO CHURCH TO WORSHIP GOD OR DO YOU GO JUST BECAUSE YOUR SPOUSE WANTS YOU TO GO? MAYBE YOU GO TO SHOW OFF THAT NEW OUTFIT YOU BOUGHT OR TO SHOW EVERYONE JUST HOW HOLY YOU ARE? YOU LAUGH BUT THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE THAT DO THESE THINGS. I KNOW BECAUSE, WAY BACK WHEN, I WENT TO CHURCH JUST BECAUSE MY MOTHER-IN-LAW WAS A BIG CHURCH GOER AND I WANTED TO IMPRESS HER. I HAD TO ASK FORGIVENESS FOR ALL THE TIMES I WASTED IN NOT REALLY WORSHIPING GOD.
NOW ON THE OTHER HAND, DO YOU GO SO GOD WILL LOVE YOU MORE OR YOU ARE TRYING TO BE MORE RIGHTEOUS? THERE ARE PEOPLE THAT DO THIS ALSO. AS FOR GOD LOVING YOU MORE, HE WILL NOT LOVE YOU ANY MORE IF YOU GO EVERY TIME THE CHURCH DOORS ARE OPEN AND HE WILL NOT LOVE YOU ANY LESS IF YOU NEVER GO TO CHURCH AT ALL. HE LOVES US BECAUSE OF JESUS AND FOR OUR ACCEPTING HIM AS OUR SAVIOR. ALSO, THE BIBLE SAYS HE IS LOVE. AS FOR TRYING TO GET MORE RIGHTEOUS, LET'S SEE WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS ABOUT OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS IN ISAIAH 64:6 "But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags".
NOW FOR THE QUESTION, "DO CHRISTIANS HAVE TO GO TO CHURCH?" I CAN'T FIND ANY SCRIPTURE THAT COMMANDS US TO GO TO CHURCH BUT LET ME PUT IT THIS WAY. I BELIEVE WE SHOULD GO BECAUSE IS WAS A CUSTOM FOR JESUS TO GO AND WE SHOULD BE FOLLOWING HIS LEAD. LOOK WHAT IS SAYS IN LUKE 4:16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. SINCE JESUS WENT ON THE SABBATH, IF AT ALL POSSIBLE, WE SHOULD ALSO. WE CAN ALSO FELLOWSHIP WITH AND SUPPORT OTHER CHRISTIANS.
THIS SUNDAY, IF YOU GO TO CHURCH, LET IT BE TO WORSHIP GOD. AND, DON'T LET IT BE JUST ON SUNDAY AND IN CHURCH THAT WE WORSHIP HIM. WE NEED TO WORSHIP HIM ALL THE TIME. LET'S ALL TELL EVERYONE WE SEE ABOUT THE LOVE JESUS HAS FOR US AND WHAT HE DID FOR US ALL. THERE IS SOMEONE OUT THERE THAT NEEDS TO HEAR THIS. I KNOW IT WILL BRIGHTEN THEIR DAY AND IF THEY ARE NOT ALREADY BORN AGAIN, YOU WILL HAVE PLANTED A SEED AND HOPEFULLY IT WILL LEAD TO THEIR RECEIVING JESUS AS THEIR SAVIOR. THAT IS WORTH SHOUTING ABOUT.

Very well said. There are people "there" that are searching for God in vanity. There are people there that need that space to better their lives. There are people there that realize worshiping with others and praying for them is very important. There are people there learning the word of God. In a sense being a member of the body of Christ you are in relationship and so are others who are in Christ. Money cannot buy your way in. The way is narrow and Christ is the way, the truth and the life. Where ever you be if you are a true Christian uphold that cross. Each days evil will be sufficient in its self. He is meek and humble but he is not a pushover either. Can we really grasp the magnificence of the lord Jesus Christ? In other words when people are sitting in this building worshiping do they know him and how glorified he really is and what he represents. The devil does! And he fears him.
