OUR GOD IS ALIVE
AREN'T YOU GLAD WE HAVE A LIVING GOD? JUST THINK, ALL THE OTHER RELIGIONS HAVE DEAD GODS AND CAN'T CLAIM THEIR GODS ARE ALIVE. WITH JESUS, THE ROMANS EVEN GAVE PROOF TO THE WORLD THAT JESUS ROSE FROM THE DEAD. THEY STATIONED A WATCH AT THE TOMB TO MAKE SURE NO ONE STOLE HIS BODY BUT WHEN HE CAME OUT OF THAT TOMB, LOOK WHAT THE SOLDIERS DID. THIS IS FOUND IN MATTHEW 28:4 And for fear of him the keepers did shake , and became as dead men.
MATTHEW 28:11-15 TELLS THE STORY OF THE PROOF ABOUT JESUS AND I WILL PUT IT HERE, "Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done. And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers, Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept. And if this come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and secure you. So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.
WHAT I GET OUT OF THIS IS THE FACT THAT THE CHIEF PRIESTS MUST HAVE ALL BELIEVED WHAT THE WATCH HAD TOLD THEM. WHY ELSE WOULD THEY MAKE UP A STORY. MY THOUGHT IS THAT IF THEY HAD NOT BELIEVED THE WATCH, ALL OF THEM WOULD HAVE BEEN PUT TO DEATH. THIS SHOULD BE PROOF FOR THE WHOLE WORLD TO SEE THAT JESUS IS ALIVE.
THE SAD THING IS THAT THEY CONVINCED MOST OF THE JEWS BACK THEN THAT JESUS DID NOT RISE FROM THE DEAD AND THEY ARE STILL DECEIVING THEM TODAY. I HAVE SAID IT BEFORE, WE NEED TO PRAY FOR THE JEWS. I KNOW GOD SAYS TO PRAY FOR THE PEACE OF JERUSALEM, AND WE SHOULD, BUT WE ALSO NEED TO PRAY FOR THE JEWS THAT THEIR EYES WILL BE OPEN TO THE TRUTH. THEY ARE GOD'S CHOSEN PEOPLE AND WE NEED TO CHOOSE TO LOVE THEM.
