HAVE YOU EVER READ PSALM 91? IT REALLY IS A POWERFUL CHAPTER AND WELL WORTH READING. MY MOTHER-IN-LAW MEMORIZED THIS AND SAID SHE WOULD SAY IT EVERY MORNING. I AM ALSO GOING TO DO THIS TO KEEP MY MIND ACTIVE.
WHEN YOU READ IT, JUST REMEMBER THE FIRST VERSE (He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.) TO RECEIVE ALL THAT IT MENTIONS IN THE CHAPTER, WE MUST DO WHAT IT SAYS. IT DOESN'T SAY TO JUST VISIT THERE. THAT IS WHAT A LOT OF CHRISTIANS DO. THEY JUST VISIT WHEN IT IS CONVENIENT FOR THEM. WE MUST BE DEDICATED TO GOD IF WE WANT HIS PROTECTION. WHEN WE GET OUT FROM UNDER HIS PROTECTION, THAT IS WHEN WE GET SICK OR SOMETHING ELSE HAPPENS. WE CAN'T BLAME HIM FOR THE THINGS THAT HAPPEN TO US. A LOT OF PEOPLE DO. THEY ASK WHY DID GOD LET THIS HAPPEN TO ME. IT WASN'T GOD. LOOK AT YOUR LIFE AND SEE HOW YOU ARE LIVING. ARE YOU JUST VISITING OR ARE YOU UNDER HIS WING?
I AM GOING TO PUT THE COMPLETE CHAPTER BELOW BECAUSE A LOT OF PEOPLE WON'T TAKE THE TIME TO GET OUT THEIR BIBLE TO READ IT. I THINK IT IS THAT IMPORTANT. I WILL LEAVE OUT THE NUMBERS OF THE VERSES TO MAKE IT READ A LITTLE EASIER.
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation. WILL YOU CALL UPON HIM. IT SURE WILL BE TO YOUR ADVANTAGE.
I KNOW THIS IS A LOT TO MEMORIZE BUT YOU CAN DO IT LITTLE AT A TIME. I AM WORKING ON THE FIRST THREE SENTENCES. JUST TRY AND YOU ARE AT LEAST READING IT EVERY DAY. THERE IS A LOT IN THIS SCRIPTURE THAT A LOT OF CHRISTIANS DON'T BELIEVE. IF WE STAY UNDER HIS PROTECTION, NOTHING CAN HARM US. HE HAS PROMISED US THAT. WE JUST HAVE TO BELIEVE AND RECEIVE IT. WE MUST USE OUR FAITH.
