I AM AN 80 YEAR OLD MALE, BORN AGAIN, CHRISTIAN WITH A LOVE FOR JESUS. I DO NOT GET OUT MUCH ANYMORE BUT FIND THAT TELLING PEOPLE ABOUT THE LOVE JESUS HAS FOR THEM IS NOT ONLY WHAT WE ARE SUPPOSED TO DO BUT SOMETHING THAT THE WORLD NEEDS.

THANK HIM BY DOING
I AM SURE WE ALL ARE THANKFUL FOR WHAT JESUS HAS DONE AND IS DOING FOR US. NATURALLY, THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS THAT HE TOOK OUR SINS AND SICKNESSES TO THE CROSS AND DIED FOR US. BUT WHAT ABOUT ALL THE OTHER THINGS HE HAS DONE, AND IS DOING, FOR US THAT WE DON'T EVEN KNOW ABOUT? THE SAD THING IS THAT THERE ARE NO WORDS IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE, OR ANY LANGUAGE, THAT CAN EXPRESS THE GRATITUDE WE SHOULD HAVE FOR ALL HIS BLESSINGS. I KNOW WE SAY "THANK YOU" BUT THOSE ARE JUST WORDS, EVEN THOUGH WE REALLY MEAN IT.
WHEN I WAS THINKING ABOUT WHAT TO WRITE THIS MORNING, THE PHRASE "ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS" CAME TO MIND AND I REALIZE THE BEST THING WE CAN DO TO THANK HIM IS TO OBEY WHAT HE SAYS. HE TELLS US IN (MATTHEW 10:8 TO "Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give." IF JESUS DIDN'T EXPECT US TO DO THESE THINGS, WHY WOULD HE HAVE TOLD US TO DO THEM? AS FOR HEALING, I KNOW JESUS IS THE HEALER BUT HE GAVE US AUTHORITY TO DO THIS THROUGH HIS NAME. I WOULD THINK THIS WOULD BE A GREAT WAY TO THANK HIM.
I KNOW THAT ALL OF US DON'T HAVE A HEALING MINISTRY AND I KNOW THAT THERE ARE VERY FEW THAT HAVE SO GREAT FAITH THAT THEY CAN RAISE THE DEAD. HOWEVER, WE CAN TELL EVERYONE WE KNOW ABOUT JESUS AND WHAT HE DID FOR US ALL. WE NEED TO DO WHAT WE CAN. HE SAID "freely ye have received, freely give". WE ALL CAN DO THIS. THANK HIM TODAY BY "DOING AND OBEYING" AND NOT JUST "SAYING THANK YOU".
I THINK THE GREATEST WAY OF THANKING HIM IS TO SHARING HIS GOSPEL, THAT HE DIED, WAS BURIED AND ROSE FROM THE DEAD. PAUL TELLS US THIS IN 1ST CORINTHIENS 15:1-4 "Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:" IN MARK 16:15 JESUS SAYS "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature". AND, IN MATTHEW 28:19, HE SAYS "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost". DON'T YOU THINK THIS WOULD BE A GREAT WAY OF THANKING HIM? PLEASE JUST DO WHAT YOU CAN.
