I AM AN 80 YEAR OLD MALE, BORN AGAIN, CHRISTIAN WITH A LOVE FOR JESUS. I DO NOT GET OUT MUCH ANYMORE BUT FIND THAT TELLING PEOPLE ABOUT THE LOVE JESUS HAS FOR THEM IS NOT ONLY WHAT WE ARE SUPPOSED TO DO BUT SOMETHING THAT THE WORLD NEEDS.

WHAT DOES DEATH MEAN TO YOU?
I GUESS SINCE I AM SO OLD THAT PEOPLE FIND IT EASY TO TALK ABOUT DEATH WITH ME. SOME ARE AFRAID TO DIE, SOME ARE JUST CURIOUS AND I BELIEVE THERE ARE ONE OR TWO THAT JUST WANTED TO KNOW IF I WAS AFRAID TO DIE. WELL, THE ANSWER TO THAT IS NO, I AM NOT AFRAID TO DIE. WHEN THE LORD IS FINISHED WITH ME HERE ON THIS EARTH, I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO IT. WHAT IS THERE TO FEAR ABOUT DEATH, IF YOU ARE BORN AGAIN. FOR US WHO ARE, WE WILL JUST CLOSE OUR EYES FOR THE LAST TIME HERE AND OPEN THEM LOOKING ON THE FACE OF JESUS. THAT IS NOT SCARY TO ME. FOR YOU WHO ARE NOT BORN AGAIN, THAT IS A DIFFERENT STORY.
A FRIEND OF THE FAMILY, SOME 20 YEARS AGO, WAS ALWAYS SAYING THAT SHE WAS GOING TO DIE AT 70. WHEN I ASK WHY SHE THOUGHT THAT WAY SHE SAID IT WAS IN THE BIBLE. I TOLD HER THAT IT WENT ON TO SAY IT COULD BE LONGER. HERE IS WHAT IT SAYS. (PSALM 90:10 The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.) SHE ACTUALLY DIED AT THE AGE OF 70.
I REALLY THOUGH ABOUT THAT AND STARTED STUDYING WHAT THE BIBLE DID SAY ABOUT AGE AND WAS PLEASED WHEN I FOUND THAT GENESIS 6:3 SAYS "And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years." I ASKED THE LORD RIGHT THEN THAT IF I COULD SERVE HIM IN THE WAY HE WANTED ME TO SERVE HIM TO LET ME DO IT FOR THOSE 120 PLUS YEARS. SINCE THAT TIME, I HAVE BEEN THANKING HIM EVERY MORNING FOR MY 120 PLUS YEARS OF DIVINE HEALTH. YOU SEE, I KNOW I AM HEALED BECAUSE IT SAYS THAT IN 1ST PETER 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
NOW GETTING BACK TO DEATH. I FOUND THIS A WHILE BACK AND HAVE BEEN ASKED TO COPY IT AGAIN SO I WILL HERE. IT IS A WONDERFUL WAY OF EXPLAINING IT. I HOPE YOU WILL ENJOY IT.
~DEATH~
A sick man turned to his doctor as he was preparing to Leave the examination room and said, 'Doctor, I am afraid to die. Tell me what lies on the other side.' Very quietly, the doctor said, 'I don't know..' 'You don't know? You're, a Christian man, And don't know what's on the other side?'
The doctor was holding the handle of the door. On the other side came a sound of scratching and whining, And as he opened the door, a dog sprang into the room And leaped on him with an eager show of gladness.
Turning to the patient, the doctor said, 'Did you notice my dog? He's never been in this room before. He didn't know what was inside. He knew nothing except that his master was here, And when the door opened, he sprang in without fear.
I know little of what is on the other side of death, But I do know one thing. I know my Master is there and that is enough.'
IS THAT ENOUGH FOR YOU? I WOULD HOPE SO. IT SURE IS FOR ME AND THAT IS WHY I AM NOT AFRAID TO LEAVE THIS WORLD.
