I AM AN 80 YEAR OLD MALE, BORN AGAIN, CHRISTIAN WITH A LOVE FOR JESUS. I DO NOT GET OUT MUCH ANYMORE BUT FIND THAT TELLING PEOPLE ABOUT THE LOVE JESUS HAS FOR THEM IS NOT ONLY WHAT WE ARE SUPPOSED TO DO BUT SOMETHING THAT THE WORLD NEEDS.

WHERE IS YOUR "HILL TOP"?
HAVE YOU EVER JUST SAT ALONE SOMEWHERE AND SANG PRAISES TO JESUS? WHAT A WONDERFUL FEELING IT IS TO JUST BE CAUGHT UP IN HIS LOVE. THIS BRINGS TO MIND A WONDERFUL CHRISTIAN FRIEND OF MINE. I CAN STILL SEE HER SITTING ON HER FRONT PORCH ON HER "HILL TOP" LIFTING HER HANDS TO THE LORD AND SINGING PRAISES TO HIM. WE SHOULD ALL FIND OUR OWN "HILL TOP" AND DO THIS.
SPEAKING OF SINGING PRAISES TO THE LORD, I LOVE PSALM 100. JUST READ IT AND PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT IT SAYS. "Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations." I LOVE THIS BECAUSE IT TALKS ABOUT JESUS, OUR LORD AND SAVIOR, AND THIS WAS WRITTEN HUNDREDS OF YEARS BEFORE HE WAS ACTUALLY BORN AS A BABY. I LOVE ESPECIALLY WHEN IT SAYS "THE LORD, HE IS GOD" AND "IT IS HE THAT HAS MADE US".
THE OTHER GREAT VERSE I ENJOY IS EXODUS 15:2 WHICH SAYS "The Lord is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt him." TWO THINGS STANDS OUT IN THIS VERSE TO ME. IT SAYS "I WILL PREPARE HIM AN HABITATION". I LIKE THIS BECAUSE THE DICTIONARY SAYS "HABITATION" MEANS "The act of inhabiting or the state of being inhabited." AND WE CHRISTIANS ARE INHABITED BY JESUS. THE OTHER THING IS THE WORD "EXALT" WHICH MEANS "To glorify, praise, or honor." THIS IS CERTAINLY WHAT WE ALL SHOULD BE DOING. HE DESERVES NO LESS.
SO, FIND YOUR "HILL TOP" AND LIFT UP YOUR VOICE IN SONG AND PRAISES TO JESUS. SEE WHAT IT SAYS IN 2ND SAMUEL 22:4 AND PSALM 18:3 "I will call on the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies." WE SHOULD ALL DO THIS BECAUSE WE LOVE HIM AND FOR WHAT HE HAS DONE FOR US. THIS WILL ALSO KEEP SATAN AWAY FROM US BECAUSE HE HATES IT WHEN WE RESIST HIM AND SUBMIT OURSELVES TO JESUS AND PRAISE AND WORSHIP HIM. JAMES 4:7 SAYS "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." LET'S ALL GIVE SATAN A BAD DAY TODAY AND EVERY DAY BY DOING THIS.
