THE GOSPEL
WHEN PEOPLE TALK ABOUT THE GOSPEL DO YOU KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT? THE GOSPELS (PLURAL) IN THE BIBLE ARE THE BOOKS OF MATTHEW, MARK, LUKE AND JOHN. THESE ARE THE GOSPELS.
WHAT ARE THEY TALKING ABOUT WHEN THEY SAY THE "GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST". IT IS "1 CORINTHIANS 15:3-4 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:" THIS IS WHAT YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE TO BE SAVED....BELIEVE THIS, REPENT OF YOUR SINS AND RECEIVE JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR.
LOOK AT A FEW PASSAGES: (MARK 1:14-15 Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.).....(LUKE 8:12 Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.).....(ACTS 16:29-31 Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas, And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.) PAUL EVEN TOLD THE JAILER THAT ALL THE ONES IN HIS HOUSE COULD ALSO BE SAVED IF THEY BELIEVE. AND THE LAST ONE (ROMANS 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.)
NOW, IF ANY OF YOU CHRISTIANS HAVE ANY PROBLEMS LEADING SOMEONE TO JESUS, USE THESE PASSAGES. AND, TO YOU THAT ARE NOT YET BORN AGAIN. THIS IS ALL YOU HAVE TO DO. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS TO BELIEVE.
IF YOU ARE HAVING PROBLEMS BELIEVING, GET A BIBLE AND JUST READ MATTHEW, MARK, LUKE AND JOHN. THESE FOUR BOOKS TELL OF THE LIFE OF JESUS AND ALL THAT HE DID. YOU WILL SEE THE LOVE HE SHOWED BY HEALING ALL THE PEOPLE AND FORGIVING ALL OUR SINS. THE BIBLE IS GOD'S WORD, A REAL BOOK WITH REAL HISTORY. AFTER YOU READ THE BIBLE, YOU WILL KNOW MORE ABOUT JESUS. TALK TO HIM AND TELL HIM YOU YOU KNOW YOU ARE A SINNER AND THAT YOU BELIEVE AND WANT HIM TO BE YOUR SAVIOR. THANK HIM FOR HIS FORGIVENESS AND ACCEPT THE GIFT OF SALVATION. YOU WILL NEVER REGRET IT.
