UNDERSTANDING GOD'S WORD
WE SOMETIMES REALLY HAVE TO FOCUS ON WHAT WE ARE STUDYING IN THE BIBLE TO GET THE FULL EFFECT THAT GOD WANTS US TO GET. I AM GOING TO COPY JOHN 9:1-4 SO YOU CAN READ IT THE WAY IT IS IN THE BIBLE. THEN I WILL TYPE IT AGAIN JUST CHANGING THE PUNCTUATION MARKS. (JOHN 9-1-4 1 And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. 2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? 3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. 4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.)
I AM NOT GOING TO ADD ANYTHING TO GOD'S WORD OR TAKE ANYTHING AWAY FROM IT BUT I DO WANT TO CHANGE THE PUNCTUATION. NOW READ IT AGAIN WHEN I DO THIS. CAN YOU SEE THE DIFFERENCE? ALL I DID WAS CHANGE THE PUNCTUATION. THE PROBLEM SOME PEOPLE HAVE IS WITH THE LAST PART OF VERSE 3 AND THE FIRST PART OF VERSE 4. I JUST THOUGHT THIS WOULD HELP THE ONES THAT THINK GOD PUTS SICKNESS ON PEOPLE TO TEACH THEM SOMETHING OR TO GET SOME GLORY OUT OF IT.
WE HAVE TO REMEMBER THAT IN THE ORIGINAL MANUSCRIPTS THERE WAS NO PUNCTUATION, NOT EVEN THE SEPARATION BETWEEN CHAPTERS OR VERSES. IT WAS ALL WRITTEN TOGETHER AND THE TRANSLATORS HAD TO PUT IN ALL THE PUNCTUATION AND SEPARATE THE CHAPTERS AND VERSES. THIS IS JUST MY THINKING BUT I BELIEVE THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN A PERIOD AFTER "NOR HIS PARENTS" BECAUSE THAT ANSWERED THE QUESTION OF WHO SINNED.
WE CAN'T JUST READ GOD'S WORD, WE HAVE TO REALLY STUDY IT TO ENJOY WHAT GOD IS TELLING US. IF YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND SOMETHING, ASK HOLY SPIRIT TO TEACH YOU. JESUS TELLS US HE WILL DO THIS IN JOHN 14:26 WHERE HE SAYS "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."
I GOT THIS IDEA FROM A TEACHING BY DR. FRED K. C. PRICE OF "EVER INCREASING FAITH MINISTRIES". PLEASE KNOW THAT I DID NOT ADD TO OR TAKE AWAY ANY MEANING OF GOD'S WORD. I AM JUST TRYING TO GET PEOPLE TO KNOW HOW IMPORTANT IT IS TO STUDY GOD'S WORD AND NOT JUST READ IT..
