JESUS IS THE ONE
HAVE YOU BEEN DISCOURAGED LATELY WITH THIS VIRUS, THE LOCK DOWNS AND PEOPLE OUT OF WORK. HEARING ABOUT SOMEONE IN THE BIBLE LETS US KNOW THAT WE ARE NOT THE ONLY ONES THAT HAVE A BAD DAY ONCE IN A WHILE. THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT WE DON'T HAVE TO STAY IN THAT STATE. GOD ALWAYS GIVES US A WAY OUT.
TO SHOW YOU WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT, LET'S LOOK AT JOHN THE BAPTIST FOR A MINUTE. HE GOT SO DISCOURAGED WHEN HE WAS IN PRISON THAT HE ACTUALLY SENT SOME OF HIS FOLLOWERS TO JESUS AND ASK HIM TO ASK JESUS WAS HE REALLY THE ONE OR SHOULD THEY EXPECT SOMEONE ELSE. BELOW IS THE SCRIPTURE TELLING ALL ABOUT THIS.
LUKE 7:20-22 When the men were come unto him, they said, John Baptist hath sent us unto thee, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another? And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto many that were blind he gave sight. Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.
JESUS DID NOT TELL THEM THAT HE WAS THE ONE, HE REFERRED JOHN BACK TO THE SCRIPTURE WHERE IT SAYS IN LUKE 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted , to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised.
JESUS JUST TOLD THEM TO GO BACK AND TELL JOHN WHAT THEY HAD SEEN AND HEARD BECAUSE RIGHT THEN HE WAS FULFILLING THE SCRIPTURE. THIS WOULD SHOW JOHN THAT JESUS WAS THE ONE. SO, WHEN YOU GET DISCOURAGED, GET INTO THE BIBLE AND ALL DISCOURAGEMENT WILL FADE AWAY. JESUS REALLY IS THE ONE.
