WHAT IS FAITH? WE KNOW WE ARE SAVED THROUGH IT AND IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD (EPHESIANS 2:8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God). WE KNOW IT IS THE SUBSTANCE OF THINGS HOPED FOR AND THE EVIDENCE OF THINGS WE CAN'T SEE (HEBREWS 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.). WE KNOW THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY IT (GALATIANS 3:11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.). WE KNOW THAT WITH IT THAT NOTHING SHALL BE IMPOSSIBLE FOR US (MATTHEW 17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.). WE KNOW THAT WE ARE JUSTIFIED BY IT AND HAVE PEACE WITH GOD THROUGH JESUS (ROMANS 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:). WE KNOW IT COMES FROM HEARING THE WORD (ROMANS 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.). WE KNOW THAT WHATEVER IS NOT OF IT IS SIN (ROMANS 14:23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.). WE KNOW WE SHOULD WALK BY IT (2ND CORINTHIANS 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight). WE KNOW THAT JESUS IS THE AUTHOR AND FINISHER OF IT (HEBREWS 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.). AND LAST, BUT VERY IMPORTANT, WITHOUT IT, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PLEASE GOD (HEBREWS 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.).
