I AM AN 80 YEAR OLD MALE, BORN AGAIN, CHRISTIAN WITH A LOVE FOR JESUS. I DO NOT GET OUT MUCH ANYMORE BUT FIND THAT TELLING PEOPLE ABOUT THE LOVE JESUS HAS FOR THEM IS NOT ONLY WHAT WE ARE SUPPOSED TO DO BUT SOMETHING THAT THE WORLD NEEDS.

THE TWELVE COMMANDMENTS
DID YOU KNOW THAT WHEN CAIN KILLED ABLE, HE DIDN'T KNOW THAT HE HAD SINNED? IN FACT, NO ONE KNEW THEY WERE SINNING BEFORE THE LAW, THE TEN COMMANDMENTS. GOD GAVE THE LAW TO SHOW PEOPLE JUST HOW BAD THEY WERE. WE SEE THIS IN ROMANS 7:7 WHERE IT SAYS "What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet." THE LAW SHOWED PEOPLE WHAT SIN WAS AND THAT THEY NEEDED TO CHANGE.
ALTHOUGH PEOPLE WERE SINNING BEFORE THE LAW, THEIR SINS WERE NOT CHARGED TO THEM. ROMANS 5:13 TELLS US THIS WHEN IT SAYS "For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law." ISN'T IT STRANGE THAT WHEN WE ARE TOLD WE CAN'T DO SOMETHING, WE WANT TO DO IT THAT MUCH MORE. THIS IS OUR CARNAL NATURE. ROMANS 7:8 SHOWS US THIS "But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead."
DO YOU KNOW THAT IF YOU ARE BORN AGAIN, YOUR SINS ARE NOT BEING CHARGED TO YOU? WE ARE NOT UNDER THE LAW BUT UNDER GRACE. WE SHOULD STILL OBEY THE TEN COMMANDMENTS BUT NOT BECAUSE IT IS THE LAW BUT BECAUSE WE LOVE JESUS AND WANT TO DO WHAT IS RIGHT. PSALM 103:12 TELLS US HOW FAR JESUS REMOVED OUR SINS FROM US WHEN IT SAYS "As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us."
LET'S NOT FORGET THE OTHER TWO COMMANDMENTS JESUS GAVE US IN MARK 12:29-31 WHERE HE SAYS "The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these." DO YOU REALLY LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR? THAT IS NOT A CHOICE WE HAVE TO MAKE. IT IS A COMMANDMENT FROM JESUS.
