TODAY IS THE DAY OF SALVATION
LET ME FIRST SAY HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL AGAIN. I KNOW 2020 WAS A VERY BAD YEAR FOR A LOT OF PEOPLE BUT I AM, AND I KNOW MOST OF YOU ARE, PRAYING FOR A WONDERFULLY, BLESSED 2021.
NOW GETTING BACK TO SALVATION, DID YOU KNOW THAT EVERY DAY IS THE DAY OF SALVATION? IT SAYS THIS IN 2ND CORINTHIANS 6:2 "For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation." WE ALL SHOULD BE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WE CAN BRING TO JESUS EVERY DAY.
WE CAN'T JUST SIT IN OUR PRAYER-CLOSET AND PRAY AND THINK THAT THE LORD IS GOING TO SAVE SOMEONE. IT DOESN'T WORK THAT WAY. IT SAYS IN ROMANS 10:14-15 "How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?" THE NEXT VERSE IS TALKING ABOUT US (15) And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!" THE DICTIONARY SAYS THAT A PREACHER OR TEACHER IS "To give religious or moral instruction". WE ALL SHOULD BE DOING THIS. SOMEONE NEEDS TO TELL THEM ABOUT JESUS.
IT MIGHT SURPRISE YOU TO LEARN THAT SOMEONE CAN'T JUST COME TO JESUS WHENEVER THEY WANT TO BECAUSE GOD HAS TO DRAW THEM. JESUS SAID THIS IN JOHN 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. I HAVE HEARD MANY PEOPLE SAY THAT THEY WOULD GET SAVED LATER BUT THEY NEED TO KNOW THAT IT MIGHT BE TOO LATE.
LET'S ALL DO OUR PART IN TELLING EVERYONE WE CAN ABOUT JESUS. IF YOU DON'T KNOW IF THEY ARE SAVED, ASK THEM. DON'T LET THEM GO TO HELL BECAUSE YOU ARE EMBARRASSED OR THAT THEY WILL GET MAD AT YOU.
