I AM AN 80 YEAR OLD MALE, BORN AGAIN, CHRISTIAN WITH A LOVE FOR JESUS. I DO NOT GET OUT MUCH ANYMORE BUT FIND THAT TELLING PEOPLE ABOUT THE LOVE JESUS HAS FOR THEM IS NOT ONLY WHAT WE ARE SUPPOSED TO DO BUT SOMETHING THAT THE WORLD NEEDS.

YOU HAVE DONE IT UNTO ME
I KNOW LAST YEAR WAS PROBABLY ONE OF THE WORST YEARS WE HAVE BEEN THROUGH IN OUR LIFETIME, HOWEVER, WE NEED TO STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT HOW LITTLE WE HAVE AND START THANKING GOD FOR WHAT WE DO HAVE. WE SHOULD ALSO THINK ABOUT HOW WE CAN HELP OTHERS. IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE ABOUT GIVING MONEY, HOWEVER, IF YOU HAVE ENOUGH, THAT MIGHT BE WHAT YOU COULD DO.
WE ALL HAVE CLOTHES THAT WE DON'T WEAR. HOW MANY TIMES HAVE YOU GONE THROUGH YOUR CLOSET TO GET RID OF A FEW THINGS AND END UP PUTTING THEM BACK SAYING THAT YOU ARE GOING TO LOSE SOME WEIGHT SO YOU CAN WEAR THEM. NOW, HOW MANY TIMES HAVE YOU REALLY LOST THE WEIGHT SO YOU CAN FIT IN THEM? BE A BLESSING TO SOMEONE AND GIVE THE CLOTHES TO THEM.
IT DOESN'T EVEN HAVE TO BE ABOUT MATERIAL THINGS. THERE MIGHT BE A NEIGHBOR THAT NEEDS A RIDE TO THE STORE ONCE A WEEK OR TO THE DOCTORS. DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH THIS WOULD BLESS THEM? WHAT ABOUT DOING AN ODD JOB AROUND THEIR HOUSE FOR THEM LIKE CLEANING THEIR HOME OR CUTTING THEIR GRASS? I WILL TELL YOU THIS, YOU WILL BE BLESSED WHILE YOU ARE BLESSING THEM. AND, IF YOU CAN'T GET OUT AND DO THINGS, WE CAN ALL PRAY.
WHEN I THINK ON THESE THINGS, IT BRINGS TO MIND THE PARABLE FOUND IN MATTHEW 25:31-40 WHERE IT SAYS "When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
FROM THE ABOVE SCRIPTURE WE CAN SEE WHAT JESUS THINKS ABOUT US HELPING SOMEONE WHO IS IN NEED. IF YOU ARE BLESSED, BE A BLESSING. JUST REMEMBER 2ND CORINTHIANS 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. ARE YOU A CHEERFUL GIVER?
WE ALL MUST REMEMBER THIS, IF YOU ARE IN NEED AND SOMEONE HELPS YOU, DON'T FEEL THAT IT IS CHARITY. GOD MAY HAVE TOLD THEM TO DO THAT FOR YOU AND THEY WERE BEING OBEDIENT AS THEY SHOULD. GOD WAS JUST ANSWERING YOUR PRAYER. DON'T TAKE THEIR BLESSING AWAY FROM THEM
