About
I AM AN 80 YEAR OLD MALE, BORN AGAIN, CHRISTIAN WITH A LOVE FOR JESUS. I DO NOT GET OUT MUCH ANYMORE BUT FIND THAT TELLING PEOPLE ABOUT THE LOVE JESUS HAS FOR THEM IS NOT ONLY WHAT WE ARE SUPPOSED TO DO BUT SOMETHING THAT THE WORLD NEEDS.

"WHAT IS RIGHTEOUS ANGER?" BY DAVID MCMILLEN
WHAT IS RIGHTEOUS ANGER?
THE LAST TIME I WROTE ABOUT GETTING ANGRY, SOME OF YOU DIDN'T KNOW WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT WHEN I SAID THERE IS A RIGHTEOUS ANGER. LET ME ASK YOU, DO YOU FEEL BAD WHEN YOU GET ANGRY? WELL, YOU SHOULDN'T BECAUSE THERE IS A RIGHTEOUS ANGER. THERE HAS TO BE BECAUSE JESUS GOT ANGRY.
IT WAS THE JEWS' PASSOVER AND JESUS WENT UP TO JERUSALEM. PEOPLE FROM ALL OVER THE LAND CAME TO CELEBRATE THE PASSOVER AND TO MAKE AN OFFERING. INSTEAD OF BRINGING THEIR SACRIFICES WITH THEM, THEY WOULD BUY THEIR SHEEP, OXEN, OR DOVES THERE IN THE TEMPLE. SINCE THEIR MONEY WAS NOT ALL THE SAME, THERE WERE MONEY CHANGERS THERE TO CHANGE THEIR MONEY TO THE MONEY THE SELLERS OF THE SACRIFICES TOOK. WHEN JESUS SAW ALL OF THIS GOING ON, THE BIBLE SAYS "He made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables". I WOULD SAY HE WAS QUITE ANGRY.
THERE IS A VERSE THAT I BELIEVE HAS BEEN TAKEN WRONG FOR MANY YEARS. IT IS EPHESIANS 4:26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath. MOST PEOPLE I HAVE HEARD EXPLAIN THIS VERSE SEEMS TO THINK THAT IF YOU ARE MAD AT SOMEONE, DON'T GO TO BED WITHOUT MAKING THINGS RIGHT. I DON'T BELIEVE THIS IS THE WAY IT SHOULD READ. IT SAYS TO "BE YE ANGRY" BUT GOES ON TO SAY "AND SIN NOT" SO I TAKE IT THAT YOU CAN BE ANGRY WITHOUT SINNING. WHAT I GET FROM THIS VERSE IS THAT WE SHOULD BE ANGRY AT THE DEVIL AND NEVER STOP, THAT IS, DON'T LET THE SUN GO DOWN ON YOUR WRATH TOWARD HIM.
NOW LET'S LOOK AT WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS ABOUT UNRIGHTEOUS ANGER, I LEAVE YOU WITH EPHESIANS 4:31-32 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. YOU CAN BE ANGRY AT THE DEVIL BUT NOT TO EACH OTHER.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
