LOVE WILL CAST OUT ALL FEAR
IF WE ARE GOING TO CONCENTRATE ON JESUS THIS WEEK WE MUST SHOW HIS LOVE FOR PEOPLE. DO YOU REMEMBER THE STORY ABOUT JESUS SPITTING ON THE GROUND AND MAKING MUD OUT OF IT AND PUTTING IT ON A BLIND MAN EYES? HE TOLD HIM TO GO WASH IT OFF IN THE POOL OF SILOAM, WHICH HE DID AND CAME BACK SEEING. THE PHARISEES DID NOT BELIEVE THE MAN HAD BEEN BORN BLIND SO THEY CALLED HIS PARENTS AND ASK THEM. THEY TOLD THEM THAT HE WAS THEIR SON AND WAS BORN BLIND BUT DID NOT KNOW HOW HE RECEIVED HIS SIGHT AND SAID HE IS OF AGE, ASK HIM. THEY WERE AFRAID BECAUSE ANYONE WHO BELIEVED THAT JESUS WAS CHRIST WOULD BE PUT OUT OF THE SYNAGOGUE.
THIS IS WHERE LOVE CONQUERED FEAR. THIS MAN MUST HAVE FELT SO MUCH LOVE TOWARD JESUS FOR OPENING HIS EYES THAT HE STOOD UP TO THE SAME PEOPLE THAT PETER HAD LIED TO WHEN HE DENIED JESUS THREE TIMES. IT WAS NOT THAT PETER DID NOT LOVE JESUS, IT WAS THE FEAR THAT GOT HIM IN TROUBLE. LOOK WHAT THIS MAN SAID TO THE PHARISEES IN JOHN 9:30-34 "The man answered and said unto them, Why herein is a marvellous thing, that ye know not from whence he is, and yet he hath opened mine eyes. Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth. Since the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind. If this man were not of God, he could do nothing. They answered and said unto him, Thou wast altogether born in sins, and dost thou teach us? And they cast him out." THIS MAN CERTAINLY WAS NOT AFRAID.
I WILL LEAVE YOU WITH THIS VERSE IN 1ST JOHN 4:18 "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love." WE ALL CAN USE A LARGE DOES OF GOD'S LOVE. WON'T YOU ACCEPT IT TODAY?
