PREACHING THE RESURRECTION
DID YOU KNOW THE PREACHING OF THE RESURRECTION WAS NEVER TAUGHT DURING JESUS'S MINISTRY? THE ONLY TIME IT WAS MENTIONED WAS RIGHT BEFORE PASSOVER WHEN JESUS GOT HIS TWELVE DISCIPLES TOGETHER AND TOLD THEM, BUT THE BIBLE SAYS THAT THEY UNDERSTOOD NONE OF IT. LOOK WHAT IT SAYS IN LUKE 18:31-34 "Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished. For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully entreated, and spitted on: And they shall scourge him, and put him to death: and the third day he shall rise again. And they understood none of these things: and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken."
LIKE I HAVE SAID BEFORE IF THEY HAD KNOWN HE WAS GOING TO RISE FROM THE DEAD DON'T YOU THINK THEY ALL WOULD HAVE BEEN THERE JUST WAITING FOR HIM TO COME OUT OF THE TOMB ON THAT THIRD DAY?
THE GOSPEL OF GRACE OF THE DEATH, BURIAL, AND RESURRECTION WAS GIVEN TO PAUL AFTER JESUS HAS BEEN CRUCIFIED. HE TELLS US THIS IN 1ST CORINTHIANS 15:1-4 WHERE IT SAYS
"Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand. By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:"
WHAT JESUS AND HIS DISCIPLES TAUGHT WAS TO BELIEVE IN THE LORD JESUS AND YOU WOULD BE SAVED. THIS WAS TRUE FOR THE JEWS AND IF THEY HAD ACCEPTED JESUS, I BELIEVE GOD'S KINGDOM WOULD HAVE BEEN ESTABLISHED RIGHT THEN. HOWEVER, THE JEWS REJECTED HIM AS THE MESSIAH AND CRUCIFIED HIM AND PAUL WAS SENT TO THE GENTILES WITH THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST. PRAISE GOD FOR THAT.
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN KNOWING THE MYSTERIES OF THE BIBLE JUST TURN TO JESUS. LOOK WHAT IT SAYS IN COLOSSIANS 2:3 In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. HE IS AND WILL ALWAYS BE OUR ANSWER TO EVERYTHING. WE JUST NEED TO TRUST HIM.
