JESUS IS THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD
LIGHT, A MARVELOUS THING, IN MANY WAYS. IT KEEPS US FROM STUMBLING IN THE DARK BUT IT ALSO KEEPS US FROM STUMBLING THROUGH LIFE.
DO YOU KNOW WHEN GOD SAID "LET THERE BE LIGHT" THERE WAS LIGHT AND IT HAS NOT STOPPED TRAVELING THROUGH SPACE UNTIL THIS DAY? I BELIEVE EARTH IS THE CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE. WHY DO I SAY THAT? IF NOT, WHY IS IT THAT WHEN WE LOOK THROUGH THE HUBBLE TELESCOPE IN ANY DIRECTION, THERE ARE STARS AS FAR AS WE CAN SEE MOVING AWAY FROM US IN ALL DIRECTIONS. IF WE WERE PART OF THE "BIG BANG", WOULDN'T WE BE TRAVELING RIGHT ALONG WITH ALL THE REST AT THE SAME SPEED? WE KNOW THAT THERE WAS NO "BIG BANG" BUT THIS IS JUST A THOUGHT I HAD AND THOUGHT I WOULD SHARE IT.
THE LIGHT THAT KEEPS US FROM STUMBLING THROUGH LIFE IS JESUS. JOHN THE BAPTIST SAID IN JOHN 1:8-9 THAT He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. JESUS SAID THIS OF HIMSELF JOHN 8:12 "I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life."
DO YOU HAVE THE LIGHT OF LIFE? IF YOU HAVE JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR YOU DO. IN MATTHEW 5:14-16 JESUS TELLS US WE ARE NOW THAT LIGHT AND WHAT TO DO WITH IT. (MATTHEW 5:14-16 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.) LET'S ALL SHINE FOR JESUS IN EVERYTHING WE DO. HE IS TRULY OUR LIGHT.
