I AM AN 80 YEAR OLD MALE, BORN AGAIN, CHRISTIAN WITH A LOVE FOR JESUS. I DO NOT GET OUT MUCH ANYMORE BUT FIND THAT TELLING PEOPLE ABOUT THE LOVE JESUS HAS FOR THEM IS NOT ONLY WHAT WE ARE SUPPOSED TO DO BUT SOMETHING THAT THE WORLD NEEDS.

WATCHING HOW WE PRAY

WHEN YOU ARE PRAYING AND ASKING GOD FOR SOMETHING, DO YOU THANK HIM WHEN HE ANSWERS YOUR PRAYER OR ARE YOU LIKE THE NINE LEPERS THAT JESUS HEALED IN LUKE 17:12-16. LOOK WHAT IT SAYS, "And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off: And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed. And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan." ONLY ONE OF THE TEN CAME BACK TO THANK HIM AND HE WAS A SAMARITAN WHICH THE JEWS WERE NOT TO ASSOCIATE WITH. I WONDER IF THE OTHER NINE WERE JEWS OR GENTILES (SAMARITANS).

IT IS EASY TO GIVE THANKS FOR SOMETHING YOU HAVE PRAYED FOR AND RECEIVED BUT WHAT IF THE LORD SAYS NO. DO YOU STILL THANK HIM? YOU SHOULD, YOU KNOW. THE BIBLE SAYS IN 1ST THESSALONIANS 5:18 "In every thing give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." GOD SEES THE BIG PICTURE AND THERE ARE SOME THINGS WE ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO HAVE. LET'S JUST THANK HIM FOR EVERYTHING AND HAVE FAITH IN HIS WISDOM. HE WILL NEVER FAIL US.

AND ONE OTHER THING, DON'T PUT GOD IN A BOX LIKE PETER DID WHEN HE WALKED ON WATER. LOOK WHAT PETER ASK JESUS IN MATTHEW 14-27-29 "But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid. And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus." PETER DID NOT GIVE JESUS A CHANCE TO ANSWER ANY OTHER WAY EXCEPT TO COME. WHAT WAS JESUS GOING TO SAY, "NO IT IS NOT ME?" DO YOU SEE WHAT I MEAN? MAYBE JESUS DID NOT WANT HIM TO COME AND WALK ON THE WATER. WE MUST ALWAYS WATCH HOW WE PRAY FOR SOMETHING.

GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
