LOOKING AT BOTH TRUTHS AND LIES
WHEN WE THINK OF WHAT TRUTH IS WE USUALLY THINK OF IT AS BEING THE OPPOSITE OF A LIE. THAT IS TRUE AND WE KNOW THAT THE DEVIL IS THE FATHER OF LIES. JESUS TOLD SOME OF THE JEWS THIS IN JOHN 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. SINCE WE KNOW THE ORIGIN OF LIES, LET'S LOOK AT TRUTH.
FIRST, WE KNOW THAT TRUTH COMES FROM JESUS. (JOHN 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.)
WE KNOW THAT TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE. (JOHN 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.)
DID YOU KNOW THAT TRUTH IS A SPIRIT? (JOHN 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:)
THE VERSES I LIKE BEST ARE THE ONES THAT SAY THAT JESUS, AND HIS WORD, ARE TRUTH. (JOHN 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.) (JOHN 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.)
IF WE ALWAYS CONCENTRATE ON TELLING THE TRUTH, WE WILL NEVER HAVE TO TELL A LIE TO COVER UP A LIE WE TOLD EARLIER AND I DON'T WANT IT TO BE SAID THAT I AM OF MY FATHER THE DEVIL. HOW ABOUT YOU?
