HINDERED ANSWERS TO PRAYERS
THERE ARE A LOT OF TEACHINGS ABOUT ANSWERED PRAYER, UNANSWERED PRAYER, DELAYED ANSWERS AND NO ANSWER AT ALL. EVER WONDER WHY SO MANY TEACHINGS? THERE ARE GOOD TEACHINGS ON ALL OF THESE POINTS. I HAVE TAUGHT ON PRAYER BEFORE. HOWEVER, I HAVE NEVER TAUGHT ABOUT DEMONS BEING THE CAUSE OF UNANSWERED PRAYERS BEFORE SO I THOUGHT I WOULD SAY SOMETHING ABOUT THIS TODAY.
I KNOW SOME PEOPLE DON'T LIKE TO HEAR ABOUT DEMONIC FORCES BUT THEY ARE HERE TO CAUSE PROBLEMS IN OUR LIVES. I BELIEVE THE BEST WAY TO SHOW YOU THIS IS IN DANIEL. DANIEL WAS PRAYING...WELL, LET'S LOOK AT THE TWO VERSES. (DANIEL 9:21-22 Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation. And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding.) HIS ANSWER CAME BEFORE HE WAS EVEN THROUGH PRAYING.
NOW LET'S LOOK IN DANIEL 10 WHERE DANIEL IS PRAYING AGAIN BUT WITH A DIFFERENT OUTCOME. (DANIEL 10:12-13 Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I have come for thy words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.) IT SAYS FROM THE FIRST DAY HIS PRAYERS WERE HEARD BUT SATAN'S FORCES HINDERED HIM FROM RECEIVING HIS ANSWER SOME TWENTY-ONE DAYS.
THE ONLY THING I CAN SAY ABOUT THIS IS THAT WHEN YOU ARE PRAYING FOR SOMETHING, BIND SATAN AND HIS FORCES FROM HINDERING YOUR PRAYERS FROM BEING ANSWERED. I BELIEVE THE ONLY WAY SATAN CAN DO THIS IS IF WE ARE NOT FULLY IN TUNE WITH GOD AND HIS WORD. SOMETIMES WE PRAY AND THEN IF WE DON'T SEE THE ANSWER RIGHT AWAY WE JUST GIVE UP. IF WE DO THAT, GOD'S HANDS ARE TIED BECAUSE HE WILL NEVER MAKE US DO OR HEAR ANYTHING THAT WE DON'T WANT TO. HE GAVE US A FREE WILL AND WE HAVE TO CONTROL IT. HE IS NOT GOING TO DO IT FOR US.
THE BOTTOM LINE IS THAT SATAN WILL DO EVERYTHING IN HIS POWER TO STOP US FROM HAVING A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD AND IT IS UP TO US TO STOP HIM FROM DOING THAT. BIND HIM AND CAST HIM OUT OF YOUR LIFE. WE HAVE THE POWER. IF WE DIDN'T, JESUS WOULD NOT HAVE TOLD US TO DO IT. (MATTHEW 10:8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.) THE BALL IS IN OUR COURT AND WE KNOW WHAT WE MUST DO, SO LET'S DO IT.
