RIGHTEOUS ANGER
IS IT A SIN TO GET ANGRY? JESUS DID. THE JEWS' PASSOVER WAS AT HAND AND IN THE TEMPLE THE MONEY CHANGERS WERE GATHERED. THESE WERE JEWS WHO EXCHANGED THE PEOPLE'S MONEY SO THEY COULD BUY THEIR OFFERING. A LOT OF WORSHIPERS HAD COME FROM MILES AWAY AND INSTEAD OF BRINGING THEIR OFFERINGS, THEY BOUGHT THEM IN THE TEMPLE.
JESUS GOT ANGRY AND MADE A WHIP AND DROVE THE MONEY CHANGERS OUT OF THE TEMPLE, TURNING OVER THEIR MONEY TABLES AND SAID THEY WERE NOT GOING TO MAKE HIS FATHER'S HOUSE A HOUSE OF MERCHANDISE. (JOHN 2:13-16 And the Jews' passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting: And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables; And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house an house of merchandise.)
SO, I GUESS THERE IS A RIGHTEOUS ANGER, OTHERWISE, WHY WOULD THE BIBLE SAY IN EPHESIANS 4:26 "Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:" THIS IS NOT SAYING TO BE SURE WE REPENT BEFORE NIGHTFALL, IT IS SAYING FOR US NOT TO LET OUR ANGER STOP AGAINST EVIL. IT TELLS US THAT IN ROMANS 12:9 "Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good."
I GUESS YOU CAN TELL THE RIGHTEOUS ANGER BY YOUR MOTIVATION AND THAT IT IS DIRECTED AGAINST THE DEVIL WITH NO CONSIDERATION OF SELF. I WOULD THINK ALL OTHERS WOULD BE CARNAL BECAUSE IF IT IS SELF-SERVING, IT IS WRONG. STAY ANGRY..... BUT AT THE DEVIL.
