About

I AM AN 80 YEAR OLD MALE, BORN AGAIN, CHRISTIAN WITH A LOVE FOR JESUS. I DO NOT GET OUT MUCH ANYMORE BUT FIND THAT TELLING PEOPLE ABOUT THE LOVE JESUS HAS FOR THEM IS NOT ONLY WHAT WE ARE SUPPOSED TO DO BUT SOMETHING THAT THE WORLD NEEDS.

HAVE LOVE FOR EACH OTHER

WHEN I AM STUDYING THE BIBLE, I LIKE TO PICK A WORD AND FIND SCRIPTURES THAT PERTAIN TO THAT WORD. THE WORD I CHOSE THIS MORNING IS "LOVE". I COUNTED THE WORDS "LOVE" AND "LOVED" 221 TIMES IN THE NEW TESTAMENT, SHOWING THERE ARE A LOT OF SCRIPTURES ON LOVE.

I JUST LOOKED UP THE WORD LOVE IN THE DICTIONARY JUST TO SEE WHAT IT SAID AND FOUND "A deep, tender, ineffable feeling of affection and solicitude toward a person." I KNOW GOD FEELS ALL OF THIS FOR US BUT IT IS SO MUCH GREATER THAN THIS BECAUSE HE IS LOVE.

I WAS READING 1ST JOHN 4:16-21 AND IT SAYS SO MUCH ABOUT LOVE THAT I THOUGHT I WOULD QUOTE IT HERE.

"And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love him, because he first loved us. If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also."

AND, WHO IS YOUR BROTHER? JESUS TELLS US THIS IN MATTHEW 12:50 WHEN HE SAYS "For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother."

I BELIEVE THE MOST IMPORTANT SCRIPTURE ON LOVE IS WHERE JESUS COMMANDS US TO LOVE. "JOHN 13:34-35 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another." THERE IS NOT MUCH I CAN ADD TO THE ABOVE EXCEPT TO SAY THAT I LOVE EVERY ONE OF YOU. I ENJOY READING YOUR POSTS ABOUT YOURSELVES AND YOUR FAMILIES. THIS WAY I FEEL CLOSER TO YOU. THANKS FOR BEING MY FRIENDS.

GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
