About

I AM AN 80 YEAR OLD MALE, BORN AGAIN, CHRISTIAN WITH A LOVE FOR JESUS. I DO NOT GET OUT MUCH ANYMORE BUT FIND THAT TELLING PEOPLE ABOUT THE LOVE JESUS HAS FOR THEM IS NOT ONLY WHAT WE ARE SUPPOSED TO DO BUT SOMETHING THAT THE WORLD NEEDS.

"WHY DO YOU DESERVE TO GO TO HEAVEN" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

IF YOU STOOD BEFORE GOD TODAY AND HE ASKED YOU WHAT YOU HAD DONE TO DESERVE TO BE IN HEAVEN, WHAT WOULD YOU TELL HIM?  SOME OF YOU WOULD START TELLING HIM ALL THE GOOD THINGS YOU HAD BEEN DOING LIKE GOING TO CHURCH, TITHING, TEACHING SUNDAY SCHOOL, ETC.  IF THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN A TEST QUESTION, YOU WOULD HAVE FAILED.

THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN ADD TO WHAT JESUS DID FOR US ON THE CROSS.  OUR ANSWER IS "BECAUSE OF JESUS WE DESERVE TO GO TO HEAVEN".  ANYTHING WE TRY TO ADD TO WHAT HE DID JUST BELITTLES ALL THAT HE HAS DONE.  HE DID IT ALL.

YOU KNOW BACK IN JESUS' DAY ON EARTH, THE JEWS WERE REALLY ZEALOUS FOR THE THINGS OF GOD.  HOWEVER, THEY DIDN'T...

"BEING YOKED TO JESUS" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

"BEING YOKED TO JESUS" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

Matthew 11:28-30, "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."

MATTHEW 11:20-30

Yokes were made of wood with two hollowed out sections on the bottom portion that rested on the necks of oxen, which used to plow or to draw a cart. Figuratively, a yoke symbolized servitude or submission. Jesus is admonishing us to submit ourselves to Him, for true rest comes from serving Him - not ourselves.

A new ox was often trained for plowing or drawing a cart by yoking him with an experienced ox. The yoke kept the young ox from "doing his own thing" and he soon learned obedience to his master. In like manner, we are to commit ourselves to being yoked to Jesus. "It is not in man that walketh to direct...

"WHAT IS NOT OF FAITH IS SIN" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

YOU WILL NOTICE IN THE LAST MESSAGE ON FAITH THAT IN BOTH INSTANCES THE PEOPLE INVOLVED DID SOMETHING.  THE RULER WENT TO JESUS AND ASKED HIM TO HELP HIS DAUGHTER AND THE CENTURION ASKED JESUS TO HEAL HIS SERVANT.  BOTH HAD FAITH THAT THEIR REQUEST WOULD BE ANSWERED AND DID NOT HESITATE.  I AM WONDERING JUST HOW MANY TIMES WE HAVE HESITATED AND NOT RECEIVED THE BLESSING THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN OURS.

I KNOW THAT THERE ARE TIMES WHEN WE JUST DON'T GET A CLEAR FEELING ON WHAT GOD WANTS US TO DO.  HOWEVER, I BELIEVE WE SOMETIMES HAVE TO GO WITH OUR "GUT" AND MAKE THE DECISION THAT GIVES US THE MOST PEACE.  WHATEVER WE DO WE MUST DO IT IN FAITH AND BELIEVE THAT WHATEVER DECISION WE MAKE...

"OUR INHERITANCE WITH CHRIST" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

"OUR INHERITANCE WITH CHRIST" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

Matthew 11:11, "Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding, he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he."

MATTHEW 11:2-19, LUKE 7:18-35

Much of the Old Testament deals with future events and the coming Messiah and His Kingdom. Not only was John the Baptist the voice of God to his generation, he was also the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecy. He did not merely prophesy about the coming Messiah and the New Covenant, as the Old Testament prophets did, but he actually prepared the way for the hearts of the people to receive Jesus by bearing witness to the Light.

Although John the Baptist was the greatest of the Old Testament prophets, he was not a born again "new creature in Christ". When Jesus was raised from the dead, He enabled us to be "born of the Spirit" and become children...

"WHOSE FAITH WAS IT" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

"WHOSE FAITH WAS IT" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

Luke 7:13-14, "And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not, And he came and touched the bier: and they that bear him stood still. And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise."

LUKE 7:11-17

This example of the widow's son being raised from the dead is often used to demonstrate that Jesus produced many miracles without any faith from those receiving the miracle, but by His faith alone. However, the prayer in Mark 6:5-6 shows that Jesus could not (nor would not) do many mighty works in His home town because of the people's unbelief. Many scriptures reveal that faith must be present to receive from God (Mk. 11:23-24; Jas. 1:5-7).

So, whose faith was present in this instance? First, the mother of the boy responded to Jesus in faith. For this woman to allow Jesus to interrupt the funeral procession and tell her to stop weeping has to be viewed...

"DO NOT GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAM" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

"DO NOT GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAM" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

HAVE YOU BEEN STANDING FOR SOMETHING FOR A LONG TIME?  IT MIGHT BE THE SALVATION OF YOUR CHILDREN OR SPOUSE OR PARENTS OR IT COULD BE THAT YOUR HOUSE WOULD BE PAID OFF OR THAT YOU WOULD FIND A GOOD JOB OR JUST ANYTHING.  WHEN YOU PRAY, ACCORDING TO GOD'S WORD, AND BELIEVE YOU HAVE RECEIVED IT, THE BIBLE SAYS THAT YOU SHALL HAVE IT.

SOME THINGS I HAVE PRAYED FOR HAVE CAME RIGHT AWAY AND THEN I AM STANDING FOR THINGS THAT HAVE BEEN A LONG TIME COMING.  THE GOOD THING ABOUT STANDING AND BELIEVING IS THAT YOU KNOW THAT YOU "SHALL" HAVE IT.  THAT IS GOD'S PROMISE IN HIS WORD AND IF IT WASN'T TRUE, HE WOULD NOT HAVE PUT IT IN THERE.  THE...

"GOD'S KIND OF LOVE" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

"GOD'S KIND OF LOVE" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

Matthew 8:9-10, "For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it. When Jesus heard it he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel."

MATTHEW 8:5-13, LUKE 7:1-10

There were only two things in all of scripture that caused Jesus to marvel. They were (1) the Centurion's faith and (2) the Jews' unbelief (Mk. 6:6). A faith that made Jesus, who is the author and finisher of our faith, marvel is worth examining. This centurion believed that the spoken word of Jesus was sufficient to produce his miracle. He didn't need Jesus to come to his house. He had faith in Jesus' word. Therefore, we can see that the person who simply believes the written Word of God is operating in a much higher form...

"A WARNING FROM THE WORD OF GOD" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

IT IS TIME AGAIN TO CHECK YOURSELF AND SEE WHERE YOU ARE IN YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS IF YOU ACTUALLY HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM.  WE HAVE SO MANY DISTRACTIONS IN THIS OLD SINFUL WORLD THAT IF WE ARE NOT CAREFUL, EVEN THE BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN CAN FALL INTO SATAN'S TRAP OF JOINING IN.  WOULD YOU SAY WE ARE LIVING IN THE LAST DAYS?  JUST LOOK AROUND YOU.  THE BIBLE WARNS US OF THIS TIME.  LOOK WHAT GOD'S WORD SAYS ABOUT THE LAST DAYS.   I WILL QUOTE IT BELOW WITHOUT VERSE NUMBERS SO YOU CAN GET THE FULL IMPACT OF WHAT IT SAYS.   IF YOU CAN'T SEE THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THESE VERSES, YOU ARE DECEIVED AND THAT IS WHY I AM WRITING ABOUT THIS AGAIN.  NOW FOR THE WARNING.

"MORE THAN JUST SOWING AND REAPING" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

LUKE 6:38, "Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again."

LUKE 6:17-49

This verse reveals one of God's cardinal laws that will work in the spiritual realm, as well as the physical world. Just as we "give" seed into the ground to receive back multiple seeds, so it is with everything we give. Whether it's money, possessions, an emotion such as love or hate, prayers, or our time, we will reap a harvest of whatever we give. We reap exactly what we sow and proportional to the same measure that we give (Gal. 6:7-8).

"He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully" (2 Cor. 9:6). This law works on positive or negative things that we sow.

"WE MUST CHOOSE TO LOVE" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED WHY JUDAS WAS SO UPSET AT MARY, THE SISTER OF LAZARUS, WHEN SHE TOOK THE BOX OF OINTMENT OF SPIKENARD AND ANOINTED JESUS' FEET WITH IT?  HE SAID IT COULD HAVE BEEN SOLD AND THE MONEY GIVEN TO THE POOR BUT HE DIDN'T CARE ABOUT THE POOR.  HE WAS WHAT WE MIGHT CALL A "TREASURER" TODAY BECAUSE HE KEPT THE "BAG" AND HE WAS A THIEF AND WANTED THE MONEY.

THIS IS JUST A LITTLE SIDE NOTE.  WHEN I RESEARCHED THIS, I FOUND A LITTLE ABOUT SPIKENARD.  THE PLANT GROWS IN T
