"COMFORT IN ETERNITY" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

Comfort In Eternity

Luke 16:22 'And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;'

LUKE 16:19-31

This story clearly teaches that there is life after death. It shows that there is no 'soul sleep' where our souls are awaiting the resurrection of our bodies, but we go into a conscious eternity immediately. It also shows that there are only two destinations possible after death. We either go to a place of torment for the wicked or a place of blessing for the righteous. There is no 'limbo' or 'purgatory' and there is no second chance, illustrating the finality of our eternal destiny once we die.

Abraham's bosom is a symbolic term designating a place...

"CAN YOU RAISE THE DEAD?" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

CAN YOU RAISE THE DEAD?

HOW GREAT WAS IT WHEN JESUS RAISED THE WIDOW'S SON FROM THE DEAD. JUST READ AND ENJOY. LUKE 7:11-15 Soon afterward, Jesus went to a town called Nain, and his disciples and a large crowd went along with him. As he approached the town gate, a dead person was being carried out—the only son of his mother, and she was a widow. And a large crowd from the town was with her. When the Lord saw her, his heart went out to her and he said, “Don’t cry.” Then he went up and touched the bier they were carrying him on, and the bearers stood still. He said, “Young man, I say to you, get up!”The dead man sat up and began to talk, and...

"OUR DEBT WAS PAID" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

Our Debt Was Paid

Luke 16:17 'And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.'

The jot was not only one of the smallest letters of the Hebrew alphabet, but also one of the most insignificant, being sometimes deleted at the writer's pleasure. The tittle was only a mark or a point on a line that helped distinguish one letter from another. The tittle corresponds to our period or apostrophe. The point that Jesus is making is that even the tiniest detail of the law would not pass away.

Christ fulfilled every jot and tittle of the law. The law was ordained to life, but no one could keep it. So, God Himself became flesh. He did what no sinful flesh had ever done. He kept the law thereby winning the life of God as the prize for...

"LET'S LOVE EACH OTHER" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

LET'S LOVE EACH OTHER

I HAVE TALKED ABOUT "LOVE" IN A LOT OF MY MORNING MESSAGES BUT THIS MORNING I WOULD LIKE TO TALK ABOUT ONE OF MY FAVORITE PASSAGES ON LOVE AND THAT IS 1ST JOHN 4:7-8 WHERE IT SAYS "Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love." I HAVE OFTEN WONDERED HOW THIS SCRIPTURE RELATES TO AN ISLAMIC TERRORIST. THE ONLY THING I CAN DO IS ASK MYSELF, "WHAT WOULD JESUS DO"? WELL, I KNOW THE ANSWER TO THAT QUESTION.

"FREED FROM THE LAW" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

Freed From The Law

Luke 16:16 'The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.'

LUKE 16:16-17

The Bible teaches that there are different dispensations or divinely ordered ways of God dealing with mankind throughout the ages. A dispensation is simply a period of time in which God deals with mankind in a certain way.

The Old Testament law was only a temporary dispensation and ruled from the giving of the law (Ex. 20) until the ministry of John the Baptist. When Christ came, He put an end to the law for righteousness (Rom. 10:4). Anyone who advocates the keeping of the law for the purpose of right standing with God is going back to an Old Testament system of...

"JESUS IN YOU" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

JESUS IN YOU

IF YOU WERE ASKED WHO IS THE GREATEST MAN THAT EVER LIVED, WHAT WOULD YOU SAY? ME TOO...JESUS. LET'S READ MATTHEW 11:11 "Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he." DO YOU STILL THINK JESUS IS THE GREATEST MAN? I KNOW HE IS, AND I KNOW YOU KNOW IT TOO, BUT A LOT OF PEOPLE SAY IT IS JOHN THE BAPTIST. THEY HAVE MISSED THIS VERSE COMPLETELY AND DON'T UNDERSTAND THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE OLD AND NEW COVENANT. THE DIFFERENCE BEING THE LAW AND GRACE.

"BUILD FAITH, DESTROY DOUBT" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

Build Faith, Destroy Doubt

Matthew 17:20 'And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.'

MATTHEW 17:9-20; MARK 9:9-27; LUKE 9:37-42

The disciples' unbelief in this instance was not a disbelief in God's power to produce deliverance, but rather a 'natural' kind of unbelief that came from a hardened heart that was more sensitive to what it saw than to what it believed. Jesus said that a very small amount of faith (a 'mustard seed') is sufficient to remove a mountain, if no unbelief is present to hinder it.

Jesus was disappointed...

FINDING YOUR MINISTRY

HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT ABOUT BEING IN A MINISTRY? MOST PEOPLE THINK THAT IT HAS TO BE SOMETHING REAL BIG LIKE BEING A MISSIONARY IN AFRICA OR SOUTH AMERICA OR SOMEWHERE IN ANOTHER COUNTRY. GOD MIGHT NOT WANT YOU TO DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT. HE MIGHT WANT YOU TO JUST BE SOMETHING LIKE A SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHER. THERE ARE MANY THINGS YOU CAN DO TO

SPREAD THE WORD OF GOD.
