About

I AM AN 80 YEAR OLD MALE, BORN AGAIN, CHRISTIAN WITH A LOVE FOR JESUS. I DO NOT GET OUT MUCH ANYMORE BUT FIND THAT TELLING PEOPLE ABOUT THE LOVE JESUS HAS FOR THEM IS NOT ONLY WHAT WE ARE SUPPOSED TO DO BUT SOMETHING THAT THE WORLD NEEDS.

"WE ARE THE WORD" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

By DAVID A. MCMILLEN, 2019-06-22

WHAT IS "THE WORD?  WELL, THE BIBLE SAYS IT IS JESUS.  JOHN 1:14 TELLS US THAT "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth."  THE REASON I SAY THAT "WE SHOULD BE" IS BECAUSE OF WHAT IT SAYS IN 1ST JOHN 4:17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.  AS JESUS IS, SO ARE WE.  SO, IF HE IS "THE WORD" WE SHOULD BE ALSO.

THE BIBLE ALSO SAYS IT IS A "SEED".  LUKE 8:11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.  WE SHOULD BE PLANTING GOD'S SEED WHEREVER WE GO.  YOU MIGHT THINK YOU HAVE TO BE...

"IT'S WHO YOU KNOW" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

It's Who You Know

June 22nd

John 9:30 'The man answered and said unto them, Why herein is a marvellous thing, that ye know not from whence he is, and yet he hath opened mine eyes.'

JOHN 9:28-30

The 'acid test' of whether or not someone is of God is by his actions. Jesus' actions were so miraculous and overwhelmingly consistent with God's Word that any reservations about whether or not He was of God should have been set aside. But, as in Mark 7:13, they had exalted their own traditions above God's Word, thereby making the Word of God of no   effect   in their own...

"JESUS WANTS US TO PROSPER" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

By DAVID A. MCMILLEN, 2019-06-21

IN LUKE 9:56 IT TALKS ABOUT JESUS NOT HAVING A PLACE TO LAY HIS HEAD.  (And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.)  I HAVE HEARD PEOPLE SAY THAT JESUS AND THE DISCIPLES WERE POOR AND THEY TAKE IT FROM THIS PASSAGE OF SCRIPTURE THAT WE SHOULD BE POOR TOO. DID YOU THINK THIS MEANT THAT JESUS AND HIS DISCIPLES LIVED IN POVERTY?  THIS VERSE IS TALKING ABOUT WHEN HE WAS GOING TO JERUSALEM AND PASSING THROUGH SAMARIA, THE SAMARITANS, BECAUSE OF A RELIGIOUS PREJUDICE, REFUSED HIM HOSPITALITY AND WOULD NOT GIVE HIM A PLACE TO STAY THE NIGHT.  I THINK HE WAS TRYING TO GET HIS DISCIPLES TO UNDERSTAND THAT THERE WOULD BE PERSECUTION IF THEY FOLLOWED HIM.

"LOVE CONQUERS FEAR" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

Love Conquers Fear

June 21st

John 9:27 'He answered them, I have told you already, and ye did not hear: wherefore would ye hear it again? will ye also be his disciples?'

JOHN 9:6-27

This man showed great courage in confronting these religious leaders. Even Peter later backed down for fear of this same group of men (Lk. 22:54-62). Certainly one thing that gave him this boldness was that he knew what Jesus had done for him. And even beyond the physical healing, he knew that Jesus had healed him because He loved him. It's our security in the Lord's love for us that gives us the strength to face rejection from others. As Proverbs 28:1 puts it, 'the righteous are bold as a lion.' The antidote for fear of men...

I WROTE ON THIS SOMETIME AGO AND I THINK A LOT OF PEOPLE DIDN'T UNDERSTAND WHAT I WAS SAYING.  PRAYER IS GOOD AND KEEP PRAYING FOR YOUR KIDS AND OTHERS THAT GOD HAS PUT ON YOUR MIND BUT JUST PRAYING FOR THEM ISN'T GOING TO GET THEM BORN AGAIN.  IT IS UP TO THEM AND THEY HAVE TO MAKE THAT COMMITMENT TO JESUS AND RECEIVE HIM.

"SICKNESS IS NOT FROM GOD" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

Sickness Is Not From God

June 20th

John 9:2 'And his disciples asked him saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?'

JOHN 9:1-4

The disciples asked a question that still puzzles many people today. Why is a child born with a physical defect? Is it a judgment of God upon the parents for some sin, or is it possibly God's judgment upon the child for sins that God knows he will commit?

Jesus Himself had previously linked sickness with sin. In this instance, however, Jesus said this blindness was not caused by this man's or his parents' sins.

This has led many people to interpret the rest of this verse as saying that God made this man blind just so that He...

I THINK THERE ARE TWO MAJOR THINGS THAT CHRISTIANS ARE CONCERNED WITH TODAY AND THEY ARE HEALTH AND FINANCES.  I KNOW NON-CHRISTIANS ARE ALSO CONCERNED BUT CHRISTIANS CAN DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

LET'S FIRST TAKE HEALING.  THE WORD "HEALED" WAS USED 34 TIMES IN THE FOUR GOSPELS ALONE.  THERE IS NOT A PLACE WHERE JESUS DID NOT HEAL PEOPLE WHEREVER HE WAS.  THE ONLY PROBLEM HE HAD WAS WHEN HE WENT TO HIS OWN HOME TOWN AND THE BIBLE SAYS "And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief."

THAT IS ONE OF THE BIGGEST PROBLEMS CHRISTIANS HAVE TODAY...UNBELIEF.  I HAVE HEARD MANY OF THEM SAY "GOD CAN DO ALL...

"GOD MADE FLESH" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

God Made Flesh

June 19th

John 8:58 'Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.'

JOHN 8:57-59

Jesus didn't seek to clarify the Jews' misunderstanding of His previous statements. Instead, He made a new statement that those who would not accept that Jesus was God in the flesh (1 Tim. 3:16) could not possibly understand. 'Before Abraham was, I am.' He not only said that He existed before Abraham, but He was again associating Himself with the great 'I AM' statement of Exodus 3:14. This statement could leave no doubt that Jesus was claiming deity in the highest sense of the word.

Jesus proclaimed 'I am.' This is how Jehovah identified Himself to Moses in Exodus 3:14....
