About

I AM AN 80 YEAR OLD MALE, BORN AGAIN, CHRISTIAN WITH A LOVE FOR JESUS. I DO NOT GET OUT MUCH ANYMORE BUT FIND THAT TELLING PEOPLE ABOUT THE LOVE JESUS HAS FOR THEM IS NOT ONLY WHAT WE ARE SUPPOSED TO DO BUT SOMETHING THAT THE WORLD NEEDS.

THE BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CHRISTIANITY AND OTHER RELIGIONS IS THAT OUR GOD IS ALIVE.  NO OTHER RELIGION CAN SAY THAT.  THE BIG QUESTION THAT COMES UP IS HOW DO WE KNOW AND CAN WE PROVE IT.  HOW CAN I BE SO SURE THAT JESUS ROSE FROM THE DEAD.  WELL, WHEN I AM ASKED THAT I TELL THEM THAT THE BIBLE SAYS HE DID AND I BELIEVE THE BIBLE.  ALSO, I KNOW BECAUSE HE IS ALIVE AND FELLOWSHIPS WITH ME.  I CAN FEEL HIM WITH ME.  I KNOW BECAUSE HE HAS HEALED ME OF MANY THINGS.  I KNOW BY FAITH.

THEY SAY WHAT PROOF DO YOU HAVE.  I THINK THE ROMANS GAVE US THE BEST PHYSICAL PROOF.  THE PRIESTS AND PHARISEES WENT TO PILATE AND SAID  (MATTHEW 27:63-65 Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again. Command therefore that the sepulchre be made...

"HIS CHOSEN TREASURES" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

His Chosen Treasures

Matthew 13:44, 'Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.'

MATTHEW 13:44-50

The interpretation of this parable is this: the field is the world, the man buying the treasure is God, the treasure is the true believers in Christ. The price that was paid was the very life of Jesus on the cross. Jesus saw, through His foreknowledge, a remnant of people who would receive Him as Lord, and 'for the joy that was set before him,' He endured the cross (Heb. 12:2) and purchased us unto Himself with His own blood (Acts 20:28). He purchased the whole world, but not everyone will...

"THE VOICE OF GOD" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

THAT IS WHAT OUR BIBLE IS AND YOU SHOULD FEEL BLESSED THAT YOU HAVE A ONE TO READ.  SOME CHRISTIANS DON'T EVEN READ THEIRS AND SOME DON'T EVEN KNOW WHERE THEIR'S IS.  SOME HAVE SO MUCH DUST ON THEIR'S THAT IT IS HARD TO EVEN TELL IF IT IS THE BIBLE AND SOME HAVE THEIR'S OUT FOR ALL TO SEE AND ONLY TOUCH IT TO KEEP IT CLEAN SO PEOPLE CAN SEE HOW RELIGIOUS THEY ARE.  WHAT A SHAME!  WE ARE SO BLESSED TO EVEN HAVE THE BIBLE.

JOHN WYCLIFFE WAS AN OXFORD PROFESSOR AND THEOLOGIAN.  HE WAS OPPOSED TO THE TEACHINGS OF THE ORGANIZED CHURCH AND BELIEVED IT WAS CONTRARY TO THE BIBLE.  HE STARTED PRODUCING HAND-WRITTEN ENGLISH LANGUAGE BIBLES MANUSCRIPTS IN THE 1380'S.  CAN YOU IMAGINE HOW HARD THAT WAS.  HE AND MANY OTHER FAITHFUL SCRIBES PRODUCED DOZENS OF THE ENGLISH COPIES.  THEY WERE TRANSLATED FROM LATIN WHICH WAS THE...

"KING OF HEARTS" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

King Of Hearts

Mark 4:30, 'And he said, Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it?'

MARK 4:30-34

The word 'kingdom' means 'the realm over which a king rules.' When applied to God, it could refer to all creation, since 'his kingdom ruleth over all' (Ps. 103:19), but the kingdom more often applies to His rule in and through those who are submitted to Him. 'The Kingdom of God' more specifically refers to Christ living and ruling in our hearts. So praying 'thy kingdom come' is praying for the expansion and influence of God's rule in the hearts of men everywhere and, ultimately, the establishment of His physical Kingdom here on earth at His second coming (Rev. 11:15; 20:4).

IS GOD'S WORD NOT WORKING IN YOUR LIFE.  WHEN I SAY "GOD'S WORD" I AM TALKING ABOUT BEING HEALTHY, HAVING PLENTY OF MONEY, BEING HAPPY, ETC.  JESUS SAYS IF WE ASK IN HIS NAME AND TO HAVE FAITH TO BELIEVE, HIS FATHER WILL GIVE IT TO US.  IT SHOULD BE WORKING IN ALL OF OUR LIVES TO PRODUCE ALL GOD'S PROMISES.

MAYBE THE FOLLOWING IS OUR PROBLEM.  SEE WHAT MARK 4:19 SAYS..."And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful."  IF WE WOULD PUT AS MUCH TIME IN STUDYING GOD'S WORD AS WE DO READING THE NEWSPAPER, LISTENING TO THE RADIO OR WATCHING TV, MAYBE WE WOULDN'T HAVE AS MANY PROBLEMS AS WE HAVE.  I AM PUTTING MYSELF RIGHT IN THERE WITH EVERYONE ELSE BECAUSE I GOT TO WHERE I WAS WATCHING WAY TOO MUCH TV.  I WAS NOT GETTING IN MUCH BIBLE STUDY.

His Love Is Our Light

Mark 4:21, 'And he said unto them, Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick?'

MARK 4:21-25

Just as a candle or lamp is not to be hid, but rather displayed so that everyone can benefit from its light, so a Christian must let his light so shine before men that they might see his good works and glorify his Father which is in heaven. God has ordained us to go and bring...

"INCREASING YOUR FAITH" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

By DAVID A. MCMILLEN, 2019-04-11

WE ALL HAVE FAITH.  WE USE IT ALL THE TIME IN OUR DAILY LIVES.  WE ALSO NEED TO USE IT IN OUR SPIRITUAL LIVES.  WE HAVE "THE" MEASURE OF FAITH AND THAT FAITH COMES FROM JESUS (HEBREWS 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.)

NOW  I WANT TO TALK TO YOU ABOUT USING OUR FAITH IN DIFFERENT WAYS.  FIRST IS MATTHEW 9:18-19 WHERE IT SAYS "While he spake these things unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler, and worshipped him, saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay thy hand upon her, and she shall live. And Jesus arose, and followed him." WE CAN SEE FROM THAT PASSAGE THAT JESUS WILL MEET US RIGHT WHERE WE ARE.  THE RULER HAD FAITH TO BELIEVE THAT IF JESUS WOULD GO TO HIS DAUGHTER AND LAY HANDS ON HER SHE WOULD COME BACK TO LIFE SO JESUS WENT WITH HIM.  WE KNOW THAT JESUS COULD HAVE JUST SPOKE THE WORDS LIKE HE DID FOR THE CENTURION IN MATTHEW 8:8...

"WORLDLY CARES ARE THORNS" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

By DAVID A. MCMILLEN, 2019-04-11

Worldly Cares Are Thorns

Luke 8:14, 'And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.'

LUKE 8:5-14

This third type of ground is characteristic of a large part of the Body of Christ today. These are people who have received God's Word, committed themselves to it to the degree that they are able to remain faithful in persecution, but because of being occupied with the affairs of this life, the Word sown in their heart is choked and no fruit is produced. Just as weeds in a garden will steal all of the nutrients and starve the plant, so the pleasures of this life, if we allow them to dominate our thinking,...
