"ONLY THE HUNGRY ARE FED" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

"ONLY THE HUNGRY ARE FED" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

Matthew 5:6, "Blessed [are] they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled."

MATTHEW 5:1-9

In the natural world, people eat even when they aren't hungry. Many of us can prove that by turning sideways and looking at ourselves in the mirror. But in the spiritual realm, only those who are hungry can get fed. One of the worst things that can happen to us is spiritual complacency.

Being hungry for the things of God is one of the best things that can happen to us. Most people don't feel that way. They would rather have the feeling of being full. But Jesus promised us that fullness would follow hunger. No hunger, no fullness.

Therefore, what many people hate is actually a sign of spiritual health. Longing for more of God is a healthy sign. No one hungers for God on their own. That is not the nature of man. No man hungers for God unless the Spirit...

"TALK TO YOUR MOUNTAIN" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

THIS HAS TO BE ONE OF MY FAVORITE MESSAGES AND I TRY TO KEEP PUTTING IT IS SO MANY DIFFERENT WAYS SO EVERYONE CAN UNDERSTAND IT.  IT SAYS IN MATTHEW 21:17-22 "And he (JESUS) left them, and went out of the city into Bethany; and he lodged there. Now in the morning as he returned into the city, he hungered. And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away. And when the disciples saw it, they marvelled, saying, How soon is the fig tree withered away! Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall...

"AT THY WORD" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

"AT THY WORD" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

Luke 5:5, "And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net."

LUKE 5:1-11

Peter and his companions had been working hard all night. Their efforts had not produced even one fish. They had given up and were headed home. But Jesus told them to try it just one more time.

It would have been easy for Peter to reject Jesus' command. After all, Peter had been a fisherman all his life. Jesus was just a preacher. What did He know about fishing? Yet something, or rather someone, caused Peter to try just once more.

Many people are like Simon Peter and his partners. They have done all that they know to do and yet they've come up empty-handed. This breeds a despair and hopelessness that causes many people to quit trying. Yet, just one word from Jesus could make the same tasks that have been...

"WILL YOU FORGIVE?" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

WELL, I THINK IT IS TIME FOR A FORGIVENESS MESSAGE.  THERE IS A PERSON OUT THERE THAT IS SO HUNG UP ON THE EVILS OF DIVORCE THAT THE WAY THEY ARE TRYING TO TEACH THE MESSAGE, TO ME, ONLY MAKES PEOPLE TURN THEM OFF.  MOST PEOPLE KNOW THAT DIVORCE IS NOT GOD'S BEST AND THAT WHEN WE TAKE A WIFE IT SHOULD BE FOR LIFE.  HOWEVER, SOMETIMES ONE JUST CAN'T LIVE WITH THAT PERSON ANY MORE AND IN SOME CASES IT IS SCRIPTURAL TO DIVORCE.  HOW LONG ARE YOU GOING TO KEEP ON JUDGING THOSE THAT YOU DON'T KNOW THEIR SITUATIONS?  I THINK IT IS HURTING THEM THAT REALLY NEED TO KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TEACHING. TRY TO HAVE A LITTLE COMPASSION, ESPECIALLY SINCE JESUS HAS FORGIVEN YOU. YOU CAN HATE THE SIN BUT YOU HAVE TO LOVE THE SINNER.  THIS IS ONE OF HIS...

"DRAWN BY HIS POWER" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

"DRAWN BY HIS POWER" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

Mark 1:37, "And when they had found him, they said unto him, All [men] seek for thee."

MK. 1:35-39; LK. 4:42-44

This is an amazing statement. Jesus' ministry was only a few months old and the masses of people were already seeking him out.

This is even more astonishing when you realize that Jesus had not used any of the conventional methods of publicity. In fact, Jesus had already rejected publicity during His first ministry in Jerusalem (Jn. 2:24-25). There was no natural explanation for Jesus' success.

God is the one who promoted Jesus. And He used supernatural means to do it. It was not the slick techniques of Madison Avenue that brought the crowds--it was the awesome manifestation of God's power.

Just the day before, Jesus had cast the demon out of a man at the synagogue in Capernaum (Mk. 1:21-28). This caused the whole city to gather at Peter's house and Jesus...

"MINISTRY IN ACTION" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

"MINISTRY IN ACTION" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

Mk. 1:31, "And he came and took her by the hand and lifted her up; and immediately the fever left her, and she ministered unto them."

MT. 8:14-17; MK. 1:29-34; LK. 4:38-41

How did Peter's mother-in-law minister unto Jesus and His disciples? Did she sit them down and preach to them? Certainly not. Yet sometimes people think the only way we can minister to another is to admonish them with the scriptures.

Peter's mother-in-law apparently ministered to them by serving them. The word translated "minister" is the same word that was translated "deacon" twice in the New Testament, and "serve, served or serveth" eight times.

We can minister for the Lord by doing some of the menial tasks that many consider to be unimportant. Jesus said that even a cup of cold water given in His name would not go unrewarded (Matthew 10:42).

Many people are waiting for the important jobs to...

"JESUS, THE LAMB OF GOD" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

"JESUS, THE LAMB OF GOD" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

WHO IS JESUS TO YOU?  TO MOST OF US CHRISTIANS, I CAN'T SAY FOR ALL, HE IS GOD, THE SON OF GOD, AND OUR SAVIOR WHO DIED FOR US.  HE IS MUCH, MUCH MORE BUT YOU GET THE POINT.  NOW LET'S LOOK AT WHAT JESUS SAYS ABOUT HIMSELF.

JOHN 8:23 "I am not of this world".
JOHN 8:58 "Before Abraham was, I am".
JOHN 10:30 "I and my Father are One".
JOHN 14:9 "he that hath seen Me hath seen the Father".
JOHN 6:33 "the Bread Of God is He which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world".
JOHN 17:5 "O Father, glorify thou Me with thine Own Self with the glory which I had with Thee before the world was".

THESE ARE JUST A FEW FROM THE GOSPEL OF JOHN AND I CHOSE JOHN BECAUSE OF THE LAST ONE I QUOTED.  THIS SHOULD MEAN A GREAT DEAL TO US ALL IF WE JUST THINK OF WHAT HE GAVE UP TO DO WHAT HE DID FOR US.  HE WAS WITH GOD BEFORE THE WORLD WAS AND GAVE...
