Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for allowing me to have children and grandchildren. Lord, help me to be the proper kind of parent who loves her children enough to discipline them. Forgive me when I have failed my children. Help me to be patient, loving, and kind in all disciplinary acts. Lord, I pray for the parents and grandparents of this generation that they may have wisdom, love and guidance in all of their relationships with their children and grandchildren. Lord, give our children a submissive heart and spirit toward authority so that our society can function in peace and order. May we all have the fear of the Lord in our lives which causes us to respect all authority that God has ordained. I ask this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you that You care for me. Forgive me when I fail to trust You and try to take matters in my own hands. Lord, I know that You have the best plan for my life. Please give me the grace to accept it and to do the things that you are speaking to me about each day. Lord, help me to be patient as You work in other people's lives that affect mine. May I extend to them the same grace and mercy that You have extended to me. Lord, grant me the grace to change the things in my life that are not pleasing to You. I do delight in You, knowing that Your plan for my life is being worked out according to Your will and not mine. I ask this in the name of Jesus, my Lord. Amen.

Dear Heavenly Father,Thank you for Your Words of wisdom in the Bible. Lord, please help us to avoid anger and strife toward others. Give us Your spirit of love and a burden to pray for those that come against us or try to stir up trouble with us. Lord, You be our umpire in matters where we disagree with others. Help us to have an humble attitude toward You and the people around us, yet maintain a vigilant and forceful prayer life against the powers of darkness that cause people to stir up trouble. Help us to fight our battles in the spirit and not in the flesh. May You bring us the victories that we need. We command the devil to leave with his attacks in the name of Jesus!! I ask this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.Amen.

Dear Heavenly Father,Thank you for sending Your Son, Jesus, to die for our sins so that we might have eternal life. I am grateful to be Your child. I thank You for purifying me from the things that are not like You. Lord, I cannot cleanse myself, but I know when I ask You to remove the things in my life that are wicked, You will come and do it. Keep me this day from temptation and fill me with Your love and help me to become more and more like You. I asked this in the name of Your precious Son, Jesus. Amen.

Dear Heavenly Father, I ask You to help me keep my thoughts pure and to resist any temptation to view anything that is corrupt and vile. Lord, I also ask you to keep my children and grandchildren safe from being exposed to all pornographic material, as I know evil men and women are peddling these wicked things. Lord, deliver the people who are already bound up in this snare. Forgive them and set them free. Lord, dry up the resources behind the production of these evil magazines, books, videos, CDs and movies. Lord, move on the hearts of those in the courts and legislative branches of our government to pass the laws that will do away with and prevent pornography from spreading. Cause Your people to desire things that are good and pure and to put away things that are evil in their homes. I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Dear Heavenly Father, I do want to be like You, so help me to react with Your love when someone does something toward me that is evil. I confess that I cannot do this in myself, but I am asking that You give me the love, understanding and patience that I need to be able to overcome evil with good. Father, Jesus forgave those who crucified Him on the cross, even in the midst of His agony; let me remember what You did on the cross, when I need to forgive trespasses done against me. Lord, give all of your children the power of the Holy Spirit to sustain them in their trials in this life. We all need Your power and grace to overcome and be like You. I ask this in the name of Jesus, my Lord. Amen.

Dear Father in Heaven, Thank You for Your Words of wisdom to us in this wonderful book of Proverbs. Help us to heed them in all of our affairs and being especially careful not to neglect our civil duties, such as voting. Give us Your wisdom and guidance as we go to the polls. Let us see the candidates with Your eyes and hear them with Your ears. May we not be so traditionally tied to a political party that we would be blinded and not see the things You would have us see in the men and women running for the various offices. Let us look at issues and people with Biblical principles in mind, so that when we vote, we vote for the things that You approve of in Your Word. I ask this in the name of Your Son, Jesus. Amen.

Dear Father in Heaven, Thank you for giving us your guidelines for every area of our lives. We know that when we follow your ways and keep Your commandments we will enjoy blessings in this life. Lord, help us to be honest in all of our dealings with money so that we will be blessed. Forgive us when we have put money into the wrong things. Lord, forgive those who have stolen from us and taken advantage of us. We look to you to restore what was lost. Help us to be wise and not be tricked into using our money in the wrong ways. May we use our money and resources to not only take care of our responsibilities, but to also give, to help others and to help get the gospel out to others. I ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
