I wish to share the words to a song I would love to hear produced via the members of Indie Gospel Artists. The lyrics are derived of a book called When Calgon Wont Take You Away I wrote the book as a tribute to my youngest son about 10 years after his passing at the age of 5 to brain cancer. That was 1984 but Calgon wasnt published until 2005. Recently this song was created as well, as a spin-off I suppose, I dont know why but if it edifies God and is enjoyed for what it is then maybe there are other members that would like to bring it to life. I perceive it to be sung by a lady (black text) with a soft male voice whispering the hushed words as seen in blue fonts. A duet of sorts in green words? Or more! By all means, let it be known if you have suggestions. Thanks so much!

The Calgon Song

By Marsha Hoover

(legend for vocals)

All sing Solo Whispers

When Calgon wont take me away, I pray.

Dont cry now.

I know Ill look back and Ill say

Dont give up.

By the grace of God, I made it.

God loves you.

When Calgon wont take you away PRAY.

A delicious escape

To a warm bubble bath

Finds me soaking in faith,

Healing my heart full of wrath.

God loves us all.

When Calgon wont take you away, then pray.

Dont cry now

Youll look back on today and youll say,

Dont give up.

By the grace of God, you made it.

God loves you.

Please, God! God, please!

The pain, I swear,

The loss, this cross,

Is too much to bear!

God loves us all

Healing my heart full of wrath,

Finds me soaking in faith,

In a warm bubble bath.

A welcome escape.

When Calgon wont take you away

Dont cry now

From what surely precedes

Dont give up

Insanity,

Just say a little prayer and youll know

God loves you.

When Calgon wont take you away PRAY.

Well look back on today and well say,

By the grace of God, we made it!

When Calgon wont take you away PRAY.

Goshly! It took longer to get acquainted with the HTML editor than it took to write the song! Blue is hard to see and the black text is actually white on this page. Okay Have at it my friends!

Heartfelt lyrics: a great tribute- comes from the heart. Thank you for sharing- your son is smiling; I'm sure.

I appreciate that. Thank you! I was so unhappy with the layout of the song that I reposted as a blog. I can "hear" the song but I wouldnt dare spoil it trying to actually vocalize it. Hoping someone else will give a try

Thanks so much for your help, Robert. Originally written as a song about a personal loss but I changed up the lyrics to reflect anyone's pain. Anxious to hear your take on the music. Blessings on all you do, Robert.
