                                                 Miracles of Jesus bible study

In this bible study that the Lord led me to do are six of the notable miracles that Jesus did in his ministry on the earth, one, His raising that happened to Him, and the Rapture of His bride which is one that He has yet to do, but I believe it could be very, very soon. They are not in chronological order. I could go much further with this topic but I just want to give an idea of just how powerful His ministry really was. It is impossible actually to write all down. Look at what John wrote at the very end of the gospel of John:

(John 21:24)  This is the disciple who is bearing witness about these things, and who has written these things, and we know that his testimony is true.

(John 21:25)  Now there are also many other things that Jesus did. Were every one of them to be written, I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written.

I have covered the birth of Jesus in another teaching note, which I have a full version on my computer. Here is a version of it on facebook https://www.facebook.com/notes/jay-dougherty/seven-notable-miracles-of-the-bible/10200440176580543

It is quite long, and I had to truncate it by linking to another note, to finish it. However what I cut out of that note is in the bottom of this one.

The turning of the water into wine miracle is Jesus very first public miracle in His earthly ministry at a wedding that He was invited to. The story is told in John 2

(John 2:1)  On the third day there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there.

(John 2:2)  Jesus also was invited to the wedding with his disciples.

(John 2:3)  When the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus said to him, "They have no wine."

(John 2:4)  And Jesus said to her, "Woman, what does this have to do with me? My hour has not yet come."

(John 2:5)  His mother said to the servants, "Do whatever he tells you."

(John 2:6)  Now there were six stone water jars there for the Jewish rites of purification, each holding twenty or thirty gallons.

(John 2:7)  Jesus said to the servants, "Fill the jars with water." And they filled them up to the brim.

(John 2:8)  And he said to them, "Now draw some out and take it to the master of the feast." So they took it.

(John 2:9)  When the master of the feast tasted the water now become wine, and did not know where it came from (though the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom

(John 2:10)  and said to him, "Everyone serves the good wine first, and when people have drunk freely, then the poor wine. But you have kept the good wine until now."

(John 2:11)  This, the first of his signs, Jesus did at Cana in Galilee, and manifested his glory. And his disciples believed in him.

Note how the people at the wedding never knew that the wine started out as ordinary water! They only accused the host of the party of holding back the best for last. Perhaps even that could be where that statement save the best for last originates from.

Calm the storm, walk on water

This miracle where Jesus calmed the sea and storm, also walking on the water occurred more than once. The first account I am using for it is in Mark

(Mark 4:35)  On that day, when evening had come, he said to them, "Let us go across to the other side."

(Mark 4:36)  And leaving the crowd, they took him with them in the boat, just as he was. And other boats were with him.

(Mark 4:37)  And a great windstorm arose, and the waves were breaking into the boat, so that the boat was already filling.

(Mark 4:38)  But he was in the stern, asleep on the cushion. And they woke him and said to him, "Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?"

(Mark 4:39)  And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, "Peace! Be still!" And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

(Mark 4:40)  He said to them, "Why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith?"

(Mark 4:41)  And they were filled with great fear and said to one another, "Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?"

Here is an account of this one in John 6, which occurred immediately after the feeding of the 5000(see below for John’s account of that)

(John 6:16)  When evening came, his disciples went down to the sea,

(John 6:17)  got into a boat, and started across the sea to Capernaum. It was now dark, and Jesus had not yet come to them.

(John 6:18)  The sea became rough because a strong wind was blowing.

(John 6:19)  When they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus walking on the sea and coming near the boat, and they were frightened.

(John 6:20)  But he said to them, "It is I; do not be afraid."

(John 6:21)  Then they were glad to take him into the boat, and immediately the boat was at the land to which they were going.

This is where Jesus walks on water, and when they took Jesus in the boat it immediately went to the other side where they were going.

My third account is in Matthew 14, which is where Peter also walks on the water but lets his fear get in the way and starts to sink, however, Jesus rescues Peter, chiding Peter for his doubt.

(Matthew 14:22)  Immediately he made the disciples get into the boat and go before him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowds.

(Matthew 14:23)  And after he had dismissed the crowds, he went up on the mountain by himself to pray. When evening came, he was there alone,

(Matthew 14:24)  but the boat by this time was a long way from the land, beaten by the waves, for the wind was against them.

(Matthew 14:25)  And in the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea.

(Matthew 14:26)  But when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were terrified, and said, "It is a ghost!" and they cried out in fear.

(Matthew 14:27)  But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, "Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid."

(Mat 14:28)  And Peter answered him, "Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water."

(Matthew 14:29)  He said, "Come." So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water and came to Jesus.

(Matthew 14:30)  But when he saw the wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, "Lord, save me."

(Matthew 14:31)  Jesus immediately reached out his hand and took hold of him, saying to him, "O you of little faith, why did you doubt?"

(Matthew 14:32)  And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased.

(Matthew 14:33)  And those in the boat worshiped him, saying, "Truly you are the Son of God."

I am led to believe by placements in the bible stories that there are likely two different events here, that they happen to encounter storms both times they cross the sea of Galilee which set the stage for what happens in the stories. The next one I am using are huge miraculous fish catches

Fish manifestations

There are two of these miraculous fish manifestation stories in the bible, the first of these is in Luke chapter 5 when He is calling His disciples to Him

(Luke 5:1)  On one occasion, while the crowd was pressing in on him to hear the word of God, he was standing by the lake of Gennesaret,

(Luke 5:2)  and he saw two boats by the lake, but the fishermen had gone out of them and were washing their nets.

(Luke 5:3)  Getting into one of the boats, which was Simon's, he asked him to put out a little from the land. And he sat down and taught the people from the boat.

(Luke 5:4)  And when he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, "Put out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch."

(Luke 5:5)  And Simon answered, "Master, we toiled all night and took nothing! But at your word I will let down the nets."

(Luke 5:6)  And when they had done this, they enclosed a large number of fish, and their nets were breaking.

(Luke 5:7)  They signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink.

(Luke 5:8)  But when Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, "Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord."

(Luke 5:9)  For he and all who were with him were astonished at the catch of fish that they had taken,

(Luke 5:10)  and so also were James and John, sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon, "Do not be afraid; from now on you will be catching men."

(Luke 5:11)  And when they had brought their boats to land, they left everything and followed him.

Peter realized even then how powerful Jesus could be in this miracle, and Peter acknowledged how he was a sinful man(as all of us are without Jesus). So when the boats were landed from the lake they all left their fishing and followed Jesus, save the one dad.

The second episode is from John 21 after Jesus was raised from the dead, but in all other aspects is strikingly similar to what happens in the Luke account. This in fact was another appearance of the risen Jesus.

(John 21:1)  After this Jesus revealed himself again to the disciples by the Sea of Tiberias, and he revealed himself in this way.

(John 21:2)  Simon Peter, Thomas (called the Twin), Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two others of his disciples were together.

(John 21:3)  Simon Peter said to them, "I am going fishing." They said to him, "We will go with you." They went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing.

(John 21:4)  Just as day was breaking, Jesus stood on the shore; yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus.

(John 21:5)  Jesus said to them, "Children, do you have any fish?" They answered him, "No."

(John 21:6)  He said to them, "Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some." So they cast it, and now they were not able to haul it in, because of the quantity of fish.

(John 21:7)  That disciple whom Jesus loved therefore said to Peter, "It is the Lord!" When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment, for he was stripped for work, and threw himself into the sea.

(John 21:8)  The other disciples came in the boat, dragging the net full of fish, for they were not far from the land, but about a hundred yards off.

(John 21:9)  When they got out on land, they saw a charcoal fire in place, with fish laid out on it, and bread.

(John 21:10)  Jesus said to them, "Bring some of the fish that you have just caught."

(John 21:11)  So Simon Peter went aboard and hauled the net ashore, full of large fish, 153 of them. And although there were so many, the net was not torn.

(John 21:12)  Jesus said to them, "Come and have breakfast." Now none of the disciples dared ask him, "Who are you?" They knew it was the Lord.

(John 21:13)  Jesus came and took the bread and gave it to them, and so with the fish.

(John 21:14)  This was now the third time that Jesus was revealed to the disciples after he was raised from the dead.

From the miraculous fish catches, I turn to the famous stories of Jesus feeding the multitudes after teaching and healing to them, feeding huge numbers with just a few loaves of bread and fishes.

Food manifestation the 4000 and 5000

The first of these accounts is where Jesus is feeding the 5000 and here is the account in John:

(John 6:1)  After this Jesus went away to the other side of the Sea of Galilee, which is the Sea of Tiberias.

(John 6:2)  And a large crowd was following him, because they saw the signs that he was doing on the sick.

(John 6:3)  Jesus went up on the mountain, and there he sat down with his disciples.

(John 6:4)  Now the Passover, the feast of the Jews, was at hand.

(John 6:5)  Lifting up his eyes, then, and seeing that a large crowd was coming toward him, Jesus said to Philip, "Where are we to buy bread, so that these people may eat?"

(John 6:6)  He said this to test him, for he himself knew what he would do.

(John 6:7)  Philip answered him, "Two hundred denarii would not buy enough bread for each of them to get a little."

(John 6:8)  One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, said to him,

(John 6:9)  "There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish, but what are they for so many?"

(John 6:10)  Jesus said, "Have the people sit down." Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, about five thousand in number.

(John 6:11)  Jesus then took the loaves, and when he had given thanks, he distributed them to those who were seated. So also the fish, as much as they wanted.

(John 6:12)  And when they had eaten their fill, he told his disciples, "Gather up the leftover fragments, that nothing may be lost."

(John 6:13)  So they gathered them up and filled twelve baskets with fragments from the five barley loaves left by those who had eaten.

(John 6:14)  When the people saw the sign that he had done, they said, "This is indeed the Prophet who is to come into the world!"

The people then realized who Jesus was and Jesus left which in turn led to one of the water stories, which I have supplied above.

Here also is the account of the feeding of the 5000 in Matthew

(Matthew 14:14)  When he went ashore he saw a great crowd, and he had compassion on them and healed their sick.

(Matthew 14:15)  Now when it was evening, the disciples came to him and said, "This is a desolate place, and the day is now over; send the crowds away to go into the villages and buy food for themselves."

(Matthew 14:16)  But Jesus said, "They need not go away; you give them something to eat."

(Matthew 14:17)  They said to him, "We have only five loaves here and two fish."

(Matthew 14:18)  And he said, "Bring them here to me."

(Matthew 14:19)  Then he ordered the crowds to sit down on the grass, and taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven and said a blessing. Then he broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds.

(Matthew 14:20)  And they all ate and were satisfied. And they took up twelve baskets full of the broken pieces left over.

(Matthew 14:21)  And those who ate were about five thousand men, besides women and children.

Note that Matthew had a different account and also indicated the presence of women and children (most likely families but could be others) so the total number of people could have been as many as 15,000 or even more.

A little bit later on then a very similar scenario happened when Jesus had another opportunity with a similar multitude- 4000 this time. Here is the account in Mark

(Mark8:1)  In those days, when again a great crowd had gathered, and they had nothing to eat, he called his disciples to him and said to them,

(Mark 8:2)  "I have compassion on the crowd, because they have been with me now three days and have nothing to eat.

(Mark 8:3)  And if I send them away hungry to their homes, they will faint on the way. And some of them have come from far away."

(Mark 8:4)  And his disciples answered him, "How can one feed these people with bread here in this desolate place?"

(Mark 8:5)  And he asked them, "How many loaves do you have?" They said, "Seven."

(Mark 8:6)  And he directed the crowd to sit down on the ground. And he took the seven loaves, and having given thanks, he broke them and gave them to his disciples to set before the people; and they set them before the crowd.

(Mark 8:7)  And they had a few small fish. And having blessed them, he said that these also should be set before them.

(Mark 8:8)  And they ate and were satisfied. And they took up the broken pieces left over, seven baskets full.

(Mark 8:9)  And there were about four thousand people. And he sent them away.

And here is the account of the feeding of the 4000 in Matthew

(Mattthew 15:30)  And great crowds came to him, bringing with them the lame, the blind, the crippled, the mute, and many others, and they put them at his feet, and he healed them,

(Matthew 15:31)  so that the crowd wondered, when they saw the mute speaking, the crippled healthy, the lame walking, and the blind seeing. And they glorified the God of Israel.

(Matthew 15:32)  Then Jesus called his disciples to him and said, "I have compassion on the crowd because they have been with me now three days and have nothing to eat. And I am unwilling to send them away hungry, lest they faint on the way."

(Matthew 15:33)  And the disciples said to him, "Where are we to get enough bread in such a desolate place to feed so great a crowd?"

(Matthew 15:34)  And Jesus said to them, "How many loaves do you have?" They said, "Seven, and a few small fish."

(Matthew 15:35)  And directing the crowd to sit down on the ground,

(Matthew 15:36)  he took the seven loaves and the fish, and having given thanks he broke them and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds.

(Matthew 15:37)  And they all ate and were satisfied. And they took up seven baskets full of the broken pieces left over.

(Matthew 15:38)  Those who ate were four thousand men, besides women and children.

(Matthew 15:39)  And after sending away the crowds, he got into the boat and went to the region of Magadan.

Next up is the miraculous deliverance of a man possessed with a legion of demons.

Demoniac deliverance

Here is a story of a man possessed with demons doing all sorts of weird and destructive things, but Jesus comes and frees him from all of those demons, in this account in Mark:

(Mark 5:1)  They came to the other side of the sea, to the country of the Gerasenes.

(Mark 5:2)  And when Jesus had stepped out of the boat, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit.

(Mar 5:3)  He lived among the tombs. And no one could bind him anymore, not even with a chain,

(Mark 5:4)  for he had often been bound with shackles and chains, but he wrenched the chains apart, and he broke the shackles in pieces. No one had the strength to subdue him.

(Mark 5:5)  Night and day among the tombs and on the mountains he was always crying out and cutting himself with stones.

(Mark 5:6)  And when he saw Jesus from afar, he ran and fell down before him.

(Mark 5:7)  And crying out with a loud voice, he said, "What have you to do with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I adjure you by God, do not torment me."

(Mark 5:8)  For he was saying to him, "Come out of the man, you unclean spirit!"

(Mark 5:9)  And Jesus asked him, "What is your name?" He replied, "My name is Legion, for we are many."

(Mark 5:10)  And he begged him earnestly not to send them out of the country.

(Mark 5:11)  Now a great herd of pigs was feeding there on the hillside,

(Mark 5:12)  and they begged him, saying, "Send us to the pigs; let us enter them."

(Mark 5:13)  So he gave them permission. And the unclean spirits came out, and entered the pigs, and the herd, numbering about two thousand, rushed down the steep bank into the sea and were drowned in the sea.

(Mark 5:14)  The herdsmen fled and told it in the city and in the country. And people came to see what it was that had happened.

(Mark 5:15)  And they came to Jesus and saw the demon-possessed man, the one who had had the legion, sitting there, clothed and in his right mind, and they were afraid.

(Mark 5:16)  And those who had seen it described to them what had happened to the demon-possessed man and to the pigs.

(Mark 5:17)  And they began to beg Jesus to depart from their region.

(Mark 5:18)  As he was getting into the boat, the man who had been possessed with demons begged him that he might be with him.

(Mark 5:19)  And he did not permit him but said to him, "Go home to your friends and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you."

(Mark 5:20)  And he went away and began to proclaim in the Decapolis how much Jesus had done for him, and everyone marveled.

I like the ending how Jesus tells the freed man to proclaim what was done for him and the mercy, which he did, and everyone marveled at the stories. He was a witness to the miracles while Jesus was alive. The next story is the raising of Lazarus from the dead.

Raising of Lazarus from the dead

Here is an awesome story of a man who was dead for no less than four days, before Jesus came and raised Him from the dead in an awesome miracle. The story happened close to when Jesus Himself would be put to death, in fact. Here is the account of Lazarus’ raising; I am including all of John chapter 11

(John 11:1)  Now a certain man was ill, Lazarus of Bethany, the village of Mary and her sister Martha.

(John 11:2)  It was Mary who anointed the Lord with ointment and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was ill.

(John 11:3)  So the sisters sent to him, saying, "Lord, he whom you love is ill."

(John 11:4)  But when Jesus heard it he said, "This illness does not lead to death. It is for the glory of God, so that the Son of God may be glorified through it."

(John 11:5)  Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus.

(John 11:6)  So, when he heard that Lazarus was ill, he stayed two days longer in the place where he was.

(John 11:7)  Then after this he said to the disciples, "Let us go to Judea again."

(John 11:8)  The disciples said to him, "Rabbi, the Jews were just now seeking to stone you, and are you going there again?"

(John 11:9)  Jesus answered, "Are there not twelve hours in the day? If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world.

(John 11:10)  But if anyone walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light is not in him."

(John 11:11)  After saying these things, he said to them, "Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep, but I go to awaken him."

(John 11:12)  The disciples said to him, "Lord, if he has fallen asleep, he will recover."

(John 11:13)  Now Jesus had spoken of his death, but they thought that he meant taking rest in sleep.

(John 11:14)  Then Jesus told them plainly, "Lazarus has died,

(John 11:15)  and for your sake I am glad that I was not there, so that you may believe. But let us go to him."

(John 11:16)  So Thomas, called the Twin, said to his fellow disciples, "Let us also go, that we may die with him."

(John 11:17)  Now when Jesus came, he found that Lazarus had already been in the tomb four days.

(John 11:18)  Bethany was near Jerusalem, about two miles off,

(John 11:19)  and many of the Jews had come to Martha and Mary to console them concerning their brother.

(John 11:20)  So when Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went and met him, but Mary remained seated in the house.

(John 11:21)  Martha said to Jesus, "Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.

(John 11:22)  But even now I know that whatever you ask from God, God will give you."

(John 11:23)  Jesus said to her, "Your brother will rise again."

(John 11:24)  Martha said to him, "I know that he will rise again in the resurrection on the last day."

(John 11:25)  Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live,

(John 11:26)  and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?"

(John 11:27)  She said to him, "Yes, Lord; I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, who is coming into the world."

(John 11:28)  When she had said this, she went and called her sister Mary, saying in private, "The Teacher is here and is calling for you."

(John 11:29)  And when she heard it, she rose quickly and went to him.

(John 11:30)  Now Jesus had not yet come into the village, but was still in the place where Martha had met him.

(John 11:31)  When the Jews who were with her in the house, consoling her, saw Mary rise quickly and go out, they followed her, supposing that she was going to the tomb to weep there.

(John 11:32)  Now when Mary came to where Jesus was and saw him, she fell at his feet, saying to him, "Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died."

(John 11:33)  When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who had come with her also weeping, he was deeply moved in his spirit and greatly troubled.

(John 11:34)  And he said, "Where have you laid him?" They said to him, "Lord, come and see."

(John 11:35)  Jesus wept.

(John 11:36)  So the Jews said, "See how he loved him!"

(John 11:37)  But some of them said, "Could not he who opened the eyes of the blind man also have kept this man from dying?"

(John 11:38)  Then Jesus, deeply moved again, came to the tomb. It was a cave, and a stone lay against it.

(John 11:39)  Jesus said, "Take away the stone." Martha, the sister of the dead man, said to him, "Lord, by this time there will be an odor, for he has been dead four days."

(John 11:40)  Jesus said to her, "Did I not tell you that if you believed you would see the glory of God?"

(John 11:41)  So they took away the stone. And Jesus lifted up his eyes and said, "Father, I thank you that you have heard me.

(John 11:42)  I knew that you always hear me, but I said this on account of the people standing around, that they may believe that you sent me."

(John 11:43)  When he had said these things, he cried out with a loud voice, "Lazarus, come out."

(John 11:44)  The man who had died came out, his hands and feet bound with linen strips, and his face wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, "Unbind him, and let him go."

(John 11:45)  Many of the Jews therefore, who had come with Mary and had seen what he did, believed in him,

(John 11:46)  but some of them went to the Pharisees and told them what Jesus had done.

(John 11:47)  So the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered the Council and said, "What are we to do? For this man performs many signs.

(John 11:48)  If we let him go on like this, everyone will believe in him, and the Romans will come and take away both our place and our nation."

(John 11:49)  But one of them, Caiaphas, who was high priest that year, said to them, "You know nothing at all.

(John 11:50)  Nor do you understand that it is better for you that one man should die for the people, not that the whole nation should perish."

(John 11:51)  He did not say this of his own accord, but being high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus would die for the nation,

(John 11:52)  and not for the nation only, but also to gather into one the children of God who are scattered abroad.

(John 11:53)  So from that day on they made plans to put him to death.

(John 11:54)  Jesus therefore no longer walked openly among the Jews, but went from there to the region near the wilderness, to a town called Ephraim, and there he stayed with the disciples.

(John 11:55)  Now the Passover of the Jews was at hand, and many went up from the country to Jerusalem before the Passover to purify themselves.

(John 11:56)  They were looking for Jesus and saying to one another as they stood in the temple, "What do you think? That he will not come to the feast at all?"

(John 11:57)  Now the chief priests and the Pharisees had given orders that if anyone knew where he was, he should let them know, so that they might arrest him.

The Pharisees and the priests would really watch Jesus to see if they could arrest Him, so then Jesus went underground until the time for His betrayal by Judas would come, which it did. Then indeed they did get Him and as the prophecy above by Caiaphas states He did indeed die for all. Then God did raise Him from the dead

The resurrection of Jesus from the dead.

This is the story of His own resurrection, the miracle that happened to Him, as it was told in Luke 24. Unlike Lazarus who would later die again Jesus would ascend to be with His Father, sitting on His right hand in Heaven.

(Luke 24:1)  But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they went to the tomb, taking the spices they had prepared.

(Luke 24:2)  And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb,

(Luke 24:3)  but when they went in they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.

(Luke 24:4)  While they were perplexed about this, behold, two men stood by them in dazzling apparel.

(Luke 24:5)  And as they were frightened and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them, "Why do you seek the living among the dead?

(Luke 24:6)  He is not here, but has risen. Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee,

(Luke 24:7)  that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men and be crucified and on the third day rise."

(Luke 24:8)  And they remembered his words,

(Luke 24:9)  and returning from the tomb they told all these things to the eleven and to all the rest.

(Luke 24:10)  Now it was Mary Magdalene and Joanna and Mary the mother of James and the other women with them who told these things to the apostles,

(Luke 24:11)  but these words seemed to them an idle tale, and they did not believe them.

(Luke 24:12)  But Peter rose and ran to the tomb; stooping and looking in, he saw the linen cloths by themselves; and he went home marveling at what had happened.

(Luke 24:13)  That very day two of them were going to a village named Emmaus, about seven miles from Jerusalem,

(Luke 24:14)  and they were talking with each other about all these things that had happened.

(Luke 24:15)  While they were talking and discussing together, Jesus himself drew near and went with them.

(Luke 24:16)  But their eyes were kept from recognizing him.

(Luke 24:17)  And he said to them, "What is this conversation that you are holding with each other as you walk?" And they stood still, looking sad.

(Luke 24:18)  Then one of them, named Cleopas, answered him, "Are you the only visitor to Jerusalem who does not know the things that have happened there in these days?"

(Luke 24:19)  And he said to them, "What things?" And they said to him, "Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, a man who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people,

(Luke 24:20)  and how our chief priests and rulers delivered him up to be condemned to death, and crucified him.

(Luke 24:21)  But we had hoped that he was the one to redeem Israel. Yes, and besides all this, it is now the third day since these things happened.

(Luke 24:22)  Moreover, some women of our company amazed us. They were at the tomb early in the morning,

(Luke 24:23)  and when they did not find his body, they came back saying that they had even seen a vision of angels, who said that he was alive.

(Luke 24:24)  Some of those who were with us went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said, but him they did not see."

(Luke 24:25)  And he said to them, "O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken!

(Luke 24:26)  Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer these things and enter into his glory?"

(Luke 24:27)  And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.

(Luke 24:28)  So they drew near to the village to which they were going. He acted as if he were going farther,

(Luke 24:29)  but they urged him strongly, saying, "Stay with us, for it is toward evening and the day is now far spent." So he went in to stay with them.

(Luke 24:30)  When he was at table with them, he took the bread and blessed and broke it and gave it to them.

(Luke 24:31)  And their eyes were opened, and they recognized him. And he vanished from their sight.

(Luke 24:32)  They said to each other, "Did not our hearts burn within us while he talked to us on the road, while he opened to us the Scriptures?"

(Luke 24:33)  And they rose that same hour and returned to Jerusalem. And they found the eleven and those who were with them gathered together,

(Luke 24:34)  saying, "The Lord has risen indeed, and has appeared to Simon!"

(Luke 24:35)  Then they told what had happened on the road, and how he was known to them in the breaking of the bread.

(Luke 24:36)  As they were talking about these things, Jesus himself stood among them, and said to them, "Peace to you!"

(Luke 24:37)  But they were startled and frightened and thought they saw a spirit.

(Luke 24:38)  And he said to them, "Why are you troubled, and why do doubts arise in your hearts?

(Luke 24:39)  See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Touch me, and see. For a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have."

(Luke 24:40)  And when he had said this, he showed them his hands and his feet.

(Luke 24:41)  And while they still disbelieved for joy and were marveling, he said to them, "Have you anything here to eat?"

(Luke 24:42)  They gave him a piece of broiled fish,

(Luke 24:43)  and he took it and ate before them.

(Luke 24:44)  Then he said to them, "These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled."

(Luke 24:45)  Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures,

(Luke 24:46)  and said to them, "Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead,

(Luke 24:47)  and that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem.

(Luke 24:48)  You are witnesses of these things.

(Luke 24:49)  And behold, I am sending the promise of my Father upon you. But stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high."

(Luke 24:50)  Then he led them out as far as Bethany, and lifting up his hands he blessed them.

(Luke 24:51)  While he blessed them, he parted from them and was carried up into heaven.

(Luke 24:52)  And they worshiped him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy,

(Luke 24:53)  and were continually in the temple blessing God.

Jesus loves us all to give it all to us. He wants to do one final miracle for His children, which is to rapture them all away from this evil earth.

As said at the end of the bible in Revelation 22 many will say come, Lord Jesus. Many I sense indeed are indeed saying “come”. This again is because of how the people have become today. We are all waiting the rapture, which will precede all the events described in the chapters of Revelation. It is a miraculous event, too as so many people will just instantly vanish, going to Heaven to be with the Lord, while chaos and tribulation await those who miss the rapture and find themselves left behind. I strongly advise all who read this to pray that by the Lord’s mercy and grace they are all counted worthy to escape all the chaos and destruction which will follow the rapture. Please continue reading below for more.

THE RAPTURE IS IMMINENT!!! ARE YOU READY????

I am very strongly led to believe the rapture is very imminent, and could happen any day at anytime at all. Nobody knows the exact time for the rapture but the Father God Himself. I cannot strongly enough advise all of you to get your hearts right with Jesus by asking the Holy Spirit to reveal to you if there is any Sin /iniquity/ uncleanness in your heart, mind etc and repenting of any and all items brought to your mind right away, asking the Holy Spirit to cleanse you and your garments so that they are spotless, being washed by the blood of Jesus. I am a man, needing the blood of Jesus for cleansing as much as everyone else, and believe me I am doing the same thing. This repenting is a continuous process, not just a one time thing; I have found that I myself have been repenting several times throughout the day. I know that it will be God's grace and mercy ONLY that I make the rapture, not anything I do, I am well aware of the fact that grace alone being what saves, and not works lest any should boast, but also faith without works is dead so I am sharing this with everyone, in the hopes that a few, even just one person, would wake up in time, and repent, for the remaining time here is very short.

I post and share this document for I deeply care for people and DO NOT want anyone to miss the rapture and find themselves left behind to face the 7 year tribulations which will follow the rapture which will be pure a horrific time on earth, the most horrific ever, in fact, where you will have to hide in caves or in mountains, away from all the evil and very selfish people, be an absolute survival expert, which many are not and absolutely refuse at all costs to take the mark of the beast(666).As a result of your refusal to take this mark, you won’t be able to buy or sell anything, work, eat, live in a normal way, and so on, and most likely you’ll be killed for it, but that is far better than taking the mark and ending up in the lake of fire for eternity, as each and every man and woman  who take the mark of the beast will end up in the lake of fire, where there will be absolutely no rest from their torment night or day(Revelation 14).  Even doing all the precautions, hiding by getting away from all population centers and into the mountains, and so on may not be enough because many if not most people, in fact will not survive the judgments that God will pour out on the world in this time period, in the seal, trumpet and bowl judgments as well as the judgment and destruction of the daughter of Babylon. All these events are described in good detail in the book of Revelation in chapters 6 through 18, which I strongly advise all to read. Here is a link an excellent animated video of the entire book of revelation for you to watch

The tribulation period of seven years absolutely will make today's evil world seem like life in paradise by comparison. I very strongly suggest reading the book of Revelation chapters 6 through 18 which tell you specifically what sort of events and judgments the world will see during this tribulation period.

Here are some rapture related scriptures:

(1 Corinthians 15:51) Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

(1 Corinthians 15:52) In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

(1Thessolonians 4:16) For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

(1Thessolonians 4:17) Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

God wants to keep us from this tribulation by His love and mercy Because thou has kept the word of my patience, I ALSO WILL KEEP THEE FROM THE HOUR OF TEMPTATION, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth."  The implication of this verse is obvious:  If the end-time Christian does NOT stay close to the Lord and endure to the end, HE WILL NOT BE KEPT FROM THE TRIBULATION HOUR Revelation 3 verse 10, so it is IMPERATIVE to stay close to the Lord in these last days.

Now I have a very special warning message to all those who are lukewarm Christians to repent of this condition and to be on fire for Jesus or Jesus will surely spit you out of the rapture(see verse 16, below) and you will go through the seven year tribulation as it says in Revelation 3 14-22. There are FAR TOO MANY are in this condition the Holy Spirit warned me this AM. There are FAR TOO MANY LAODICEANS today. Please REPENT NOW of your lukewarmness and be on fire for the Lord before it is too late and you miss the rapture as a result of your being lukewarm!! Here are the verses in Revelation chapter 3 concerning the Laodicean church:

(Revelation 3:14) And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;

(Revelation 3:15) I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.

(Revelation 3:16) So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

(Revelation 3:17) Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

(Revelation 3:18) I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

(Revelation 3:19) As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

(Revelation 3:20) Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

(Revelation 3:21) To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

(Revelation 3:22) He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

Summarizing, you MUST all be ready for this coming rapture, AND be on FIRE for Jesus, and not be at all lukewarm but loving Jesus with ALL Your heart, mind and soul as commanded in the bible, in several places in both the old and new testaments. If in case you need to receive the Lord please pray the following prayer (backsliders can also use this prayer to repent of their sin and lukewarmness and recommit their lives, and return to their first love, Jesus. Please do so NOW before it is too late)

Dear God in heaven, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I acknowledge to You that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins and the life that I have lived; I need your forgiveness. I believe that your only begotten Son Jesus Christ shed His precious blood on the cross at Calvary and died for my sins, and I am now willing to turn from my sin. You said in Your Holy Word, Romans 10:9 that if we confess Jesus as our Lord and believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, we will be saved. Right now I confess Jesus as the Lord of my soul. With my heart, I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. This very moment I accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Savior and according to His Word, right now I am saved. Thank you Jesus for your unlimited grace which has saved me from my sins. I thank you Jesus that your grace never leads to license, but rather it always leads to repentance. Therefore Lord Jesus transform my life so that I may bring glory and honor to you alone and not to myself. Thank you Jesus for dying for me and giving me eternal life.

Amen.

Here are 10 steps that can be of help to be ready for the soon to come rapture:

1. Make sure that you have received Jesus Christ into your life as your PERSONAL Lord and Savior(see the salvation prayer above and use it if need be).

2. Examine your own heart for any signs of backsliding, worldliness, unwatchfulness, compromising, and lukewarmness.

3. REPENT (Turn COMPLETELY away from sin and turn COMPLETELY around towards Jesus).  Sin separates you from God, even as a Christian.

4. Study end-time Biblical prophecy(Daniel 7-12, Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 17, 21, 1 Corinthians 15, 1 Thessolonians 4 and 5, other placesd but the  book of Revelation in particular)  until you become completely convinced that His Coming is, indeed, AT THE DOOR.  This will help keep you from temptation and sin.  JESUS IS COMING VERY SOON!!! Lord help me be absolutely convinced YOU ARE at the door!!!!!

5. Do something for the Lord.  (Passing out tracts would be a good start.)

6. Examine your priorities, lest the CARES OF THIS LIFE cause YOU to MISS THE RAPTURE, as we are so adamantly WARNED about in Luke 21, and so many other Scriptures.

7. Draw closer to God by praying, reading His Word, attending a fundamental church as often as possible, and surround yourself with a Christian atmosphere (Christian friends, books, music, radio, TV, etc.)

8. PRAY DILIGENTLY.  ASK THE LORD TO REVEAL TO YOU ANYTHING IN YOUR LIFE THAT EVEN MIGHT KEEP YOU FROM THE RAPTURE.  PRAY THAT THE LORD WOULD GIVE YOU A PEACE, IF YOU ARE READY, AND AN UNREST AND UNEASINESS IN YOUR HEART, IF YOU ARE NOT READY.

9. Listen for His voice and then STAY OPEN TO THE LEADING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.

10. Act upon that which the Lord is calling you to do. DO IT NOW BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!

Please also pray and ask the Lord Jesus to see if you are indeed ready and to give you peace if you and If the Lord has planted even the least bit of doubt or uneasiness in your heart, will you swallow your pride and pray this prayer with me:

"Dear Lord, Thank you for preparing a WAY OF ESCAPE from the horrible Tribulation to come.  It is my sincere desire to be ready for your Soon Return, so that I can participate in the Rapture. Give me a COMPLETE PEACE IN MY HEART FROM YOU if I am, indeed, ready. Let there be no false sense of security in my heart concerning my readiness for Your Return.  Begin to reveal to me things in my life and in my heart that might keep me from the Rapture.  Show me what I need to do to BE READY and then give me the power to act upon that which you show me to do.  Draw me away from the world and closer to you every day.  Use me in whatever way you can to help others

who may not be ready for your Return.  Fill me with your peace when I am ready and fill me with YOUR POWER, for victory over sin and temptation, and for effective service for your kingdom.  In Jesus' mighty name, Amen

If, by an unfortunate chance, you are finding yourself reading this testimony after the rapture has happened, and you find that you have missed it, everything is not lost by any means, just please pray immediately to accept the Lord Jesus as savior and /or recommit your life to Him, repenting of anything  and everything that you have done that has caused you to miss the rapture, especially such things as being lukewarm and whatever else you may do during that time absolutely DO NOT TAKE THE MARK OF THE BEAST OR YOU WILL SPEND ETERNITY IN THE LAKE OF FIRE!!!!!(taking the mark of the beast means you are essentially married to Satan, the antichrist, the beast and false prophet,  ALL OF WHOM ARE DESTINED FOR THE LAKE OF FIRE, AS ARE ALL WHO TAKE THEIR MARK ON THEIR FOREHEAD OR HAND). IT IS NOT AT ALL FORGIVABLE TO TAKE THIS MARK- so again you must avoid taking this mark AT ALL COSTS you won’t be able to buy, sell, work, and so on, you will have to hide, living in the forest and away from civilization, face jail, torture, and be executed for refusing the mark. If you do die for refusing to take the mark of the beast, if you are Jesus’ you will go to heaven immediately as a tribulation saint and martyr spoken of in the book of revelation. I cannot strongly stress the point enough to NEVER, EVER accept the mark of the beast, no matter what!!!! It will be well worth it to lose everything and everyone in this world, including your life so as  to not have to spend all eternity in hell and the lake of fire, where again there will be never any rest on your torment day or night.
