God's gifts a teaching and bible study

By James J Dougherty, 2013-07-14

God’s gifts a teaching and bible study

Here are the bible verses which indicate all what God has given us, the believers, only out of His grace and mercy, and NOT because of ANYTHING we did ourselves to earn them at all. I am covering verses from the New Testament which illustrate the various gifts we can receive by faith from God, to show us all just how much He loves us

The first time this is used is when Jesus speaks to the woman at the well and He speaks of the gift of living water which leads to eternal life

(Johm 4:10)  Jesus answered her, "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that is saying to you, 'Give me a drink,' you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water."

(John 4:13)  Jesus said to her, "Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again,

(John 4:14)  but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him...

Another seven verse gospel tract

By James J Dougherty, 2013-07-14

                                                Seven verse gospel tract

Here is a simple seven verse gospel tract which presents the way to salvation in a clear easy way and it is short, making it easy to print out and distribute in many areas.

Romans is very clear that we need to be saved from our own sins

(Romans 3:23)  for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Here are the consequences of the sin that we have committed

(Romans 6:23)  For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

God sent His son Jesus to the world to die for us because He loved us that much

(John 3:16)  "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

In John 14 Jesus then makes it very clear that nobody can come to God but by Him

(John 14:6)  Jesus said to him,...

Yet another seven verse salvation tract

By James J Dougherty, 2013-07-14

Yet another seven verse salvation gospel tract

Here is another seven verse gospel tract with some pairs of verses, but it demonstrates God’s love and mercy towards us for having Jesus die for our sins and what He is willing to go through for a relationship with Him and for us to have eternal life with Him in Heaven

Romans chapter 3 also is very clear that we need to be saved from our own sins that we have committed

(Romans 3:23)  for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

(Romans 3:24)  and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,

Here are the consequences of the sin that we have committed but also the gift of God:

(Romans 6:23)  For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

It is why God sent His son Jesus because He wanted...

12 verse salvation tract old testament scriptures

By James J Dougherty, 2013-07-15

12 verse salvation tract with Old testament scriptures

Here is another salvation tract with 12 verses with many of them coming from the old testament, too, which has good messages.

Psalm 53 says that none do right and none seek God

(Psalm 53:2)  God looks down from heaven on the children of man to see if there are any who understand, who seek after God.

(Psalm 53:3)  They have all fallen away; together they have become corrupt; there is none who does good, not even one.

In this verse God says He wants to cleanse us of all of our unrighteousness

(Isaiah 1:18)  "Come now, let us reason together, says the LORD: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool

In Ezekiel chapter 36 He promises to give us a new heart and pour out His spirit on us

(Ezekiel 36:26)  And I...

Offerings a bible study

By James J Dougherty, 2013-07-15

                                                Offerings a bible study

I am doing a bible study of the various offerings made to God largely on a free will basis to God for varied reasons. I am also including the guidelines established for such in the bible. I will also hit some on the topic tithing and giving too.

The first example of offering is in Genesis chapter 4 where Cain and Abel brought offerings to the Lord. Abel’s was accepted by God but Cain’s God did not accept. As a result of all this happening, Cain got so mad as a result of the rejection of his offering that he eventually killed Abel!

(Genesis 4:3)  In the course of time Cain brought to the LORD an offering of the fruit of the ground,

(Genesis 4:4)  and Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat portions. And the LORD had regard for Abel and his offering,

(Genesis 4:5)  but for Cain and his offering he had no regard....

12 verse salvation tract Romans road

By James J Dougherty, 2013-07-15

12 verse Romans road gospel tract

I am presenting 12 verses from the book of Romans to specifically illustrate our need for a Savior, Jesus, why we need this savior, Jesus, and also how you can ask Jesus into your hearts and a prayer to ask him into your hearts as well.

Romans chapter 3 also is very clear that we need to be saved from our own sins that we have committed

(Romans 3:23)  for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

(Romans 3:24)  and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,

Here are the consequences of the sin that we have committed

(Romans 6:23)  For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The verses above make it clear that we need to be saved from our own sin, and the resulting consequences of death, eternal death. Here is another verse in Romans...

Another twelve verse salvation tract

By James J Dougherty, 2013-07-15

                                    Another twelve verse salvation tract

Here is another simple twelve verse salvation tract with some different verses

In Romans chapter 3 verses 10 through 12 the bible very plainly tells all of us, myself included, that we all have fallen short of the standard and done wrong

(Romans 3:10)  as it is written: "None is righteous, no, not one;

(Romans 3:11)  no one understands; no one seeks for God.

(Romans 3:12)  All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one."

In this verse God says He wants to cleanse us of all of our unrighteousness

(Isaiah 1:18)  "Come now, let us reason together, says the LORD: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool

Here is a verse in 2 Peter to remind us that the Lord is patient,...
