Passion of Christ Salvation teaching number 2

By James J Dougherty, 2013-08-20

                                    Passion salvation teaching number 2

Here is another salvation teaching featuring the passion of Christ. This one features Mark chapter 14, Matthew chapter 27 and Luke chapter 24. These stories cover the last supper, arrest, trial and crucifixion of Jesus, who died to pay for our sins, then was raised from the dead by God with the various encounters told. I will then add a salvation teaching of many other scriptures to the end of it as well.

In Mark chapter 14 is the last supper and arrest of Jesus and all that happens then, including Peter’s denials and Jesus betrayal.

(Mark 14:1)  Now after two days it was the Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread. And the chief priests and the scribes were seeking how they might get hold of Him by guile, and how they might kill Him.

(Mark 14:2)  But they said, "Not during the feast, lest there be a disturbance of the people."

(Mark 14:3)  And...

Passion of Christ Salvation teaching number 3

                                    Passion Salvation teaching number 3

Here is a third salvation teaching featuring the Passion of Christ, this time the chapters covered will be Luke 22, John 18 and 19 with some overlap between Luke and John, but I felt led to include both John chapters as a lot of the hearing and such is split between the two chapters, and Mark 16 for the risen Christ, and His activities. Afterwards I am planning to include a salvation teaching, too of other New Testament verses.

Luke 22 describes the last supper, Jesus arrest, Peter’s denials and the early trials and such that Jesus went through

(Luke 22:1)  Now the Feast of Unleavened Bread drew near, which is called Passover.

(Luke 22:2)  And the chief priests and the scribes were seeking how they might kill Him, for they feared the people.

(Luke 22:3)  Then Satan entered into Judas, surnamed Iscariot, who was numbered among the twelve.

Passion of Christ Salvation teaching number 4

By James J Dougherty, 2013-08-21

                                                Passion salvation teaching number 4

Here is a salvation teaching featuring the Passion of Jesus and it will feature John chapters 13, 18, Luke 23 and Matthew 28. These chapters include the full passion of Jesus, from the last supper, to where Peter denies Him, through His arrest and crucifixion, where He pays for all of our sins, and then God raises Jesus from the dead.

John chapter 13 is the place where He indeed washed His disciples’ feet as an example to love one another and then He makes that as His commandment that we love one another. Also in the chapter Judas goes out to betray Jesus and Jesus foretells of Peter’s denials of Jesus which will come much later in the book.

(John 13:1)  Now before the feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that His hour had come that He should depart from this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end.

Passion of Christ Salvation teaching number 5

                                                Passion salvation teaching number 5

Here is a salvation teaching featuring the Passion of Jesus and it will feature John chapters 13 through 18, Luke 23 and Matthew 28. These chapters include the full passion of Jesus, from the last supper, to where Peter denies Him, through His arrest and crucifixion, where He pays for all of our sins, and then God raises Jesus from the dead. Also included is Jesus teaching and discussion with His disciples in chapters 14 through 16(actually starting in 13) where Jesus imparts many valuable things and commandments to them and to us through the bible. Jesus then prays powerfully for His disciples in John 17.

John chapter 13 is the place where He indeed washed His disciples’ feet as an example to love one another and then He makes that as His commandment that we love one another. Also in the chapter Judas goes out to betray Jesus and Jesus foretells of Peter’s denials of Jesus...

Passion, Jesus is risen and the great commission salvation teaching

This is a teaching and study combining the Passion of Christ, the Jesus is risen part, using Matthew 26 and Mark 15 for the passion and using John chapter 20 and 21 for the Jesus is risen part, with the great commission and even 1 Corinthians 15 along with a salvation teaching, for they all come together. As 1 Corinthians 15 says if Jesus had NOT risen our hope would be in vain but since He has risen we have our hope in Him, even to be raptured at the end of time.

In Matthew 26 the last supper through Jesus’ arrest and the early hearings are described.

(Matthew 26:1)  Now it came to pass, when Jesus had finished all these words, that He said to His disciples,

(Matthew 26:2)  You know that after two days the Passover takes place, and the Son of Man will be handed over to be crucified."

(Matthew 26:3)  Then the chief...
