12 chapter Romans bible study

By James J Dougherty, 2013-12-07

                                    12 chapter Romans bible study

Here is a twelve chapter study of the book of Romans which carries a lot of the most important messages of the book, which contains Paul’s biggest teachings on salvation, our need to be saved from our sins, but also how God sent Jesus to be the method of our salvation. This study will cover chapters 3 then chapters 5 through 15 in that order, chronologically. The purpose is to help people to see their need for a savior which is why Jesus was provided but also to provide good encouragement to encourage growth to those who are already saved.

Romans chapter 3 is the powerful chapter stating how none is right, all do evil, listing the evils done, and all fall short of God’s glory but how Jesus provided the means for all to be redeemed by the free gift of salvation through Him.

(Romans 3:1)  What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision?

Romans bible study chapters 1 through 12

By James J Dougherty, 2013-12-08

Romans bible study chapters 1 through 12

Here is a bible study of the first twelve chapters of Romans in order, to present the powerful messages that Paul has in them, of salvation warning against judgment and falling into a reprobate mind, and also warning of heeding the demands of the flesh and how difficult it can be to ignore the desires of the flesh. The book of Romans is one of the more powerful books, especially among the epistles and I recommend diligent study of it, so I am posting this up for all to encourage this practice. These are presented in order from Romans chapter 1 through chapter 12

In Romans chapter 1 after the salutation Paul reminds us how he is not ashamed of the gospel of Christ (we are not to be either and also warns of how someone can become a reprobate whose foolish heart is darkened and they do evil.

(Romans 1:1)  Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an...

warning teaching against sloth and sluggard

By James J Dougherty, 2013-12-09

Bible study on sloth and diligence and salvation

Here is a warning teaching on sloth, laggardness and diligence. God does NOT honor laziness in people at all and indeed that subjects people to poverty and want as the book of proverbs says in two separate locations, which I am presenting here. I am also including verses on diligence to show that God does indeed honor diligence. I am wrapping this up with a salvation teaching so that people can get to know the Lord.

First is a verse from the book of judges which speaks out against sloth but encourages people to go and possess the land

Judges 18:9  And they said, Arise, that we may go up against them: for we have seen the land, and, behold, it is very good: and are ye still? be not slothful to go, and to enter to possess the land.

Here is a good assortment of proverbs which really cover the subject of sloth very, very well, warning against...

rpature presentation featuring Matthew chapter 24

By James J Dougherty, 2013-12-10

Rapture presentation featuring Matthew chapter 24

Here is a rapture presentation which features the scriptures taught of the end times by Jesus in Matthew 24, including powerful warnings and prophecies on the events to come, plus also more information on the coming rapture. I am doing this in the hopes that people will prayerfully read this and be ready when Jesus comes back because I have no wish for any to go through the tribulation period.

Matthew chapter 24 is one of Jesus end times sermons which is very powerful and contains warnings of what to expect in direct teachings and parables. It warns us to be ready for the Lord to come back unexpectedly like a thief in the night with promises for both those people who are ready and those who are not.

(Matthew 24:1)  And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.

(Matthew 24:2)  And...
