People today mans fall Romans salvation study

By James J Dougherty, 2014-02-14

People today man’s fall and Romans Salvation teaching

Here is a collection of verses to start this teaching and presentation which accurately reflect how people have become- selfish and nasty. While a good bit of this is end times things I also believe a lot of this rudeness, selfishness and more seen around a lot today is the fallen nature/flesh of man which controls many unrepentant souls and tempts even the righteous to sin and fall away from God’s love which will not ever leave them

First off here are some scriptures about how people have become

I am starting this teaching and presentation with prophecies of the way people are evil today, prophecies which have largely been fulfilled, too. The first is the scriptures in Isaiah chapter 5

(Isaiah 5:1)  Now will I sing to my wellbeloved a song of my beloved touching his vineyard. My wellbeloved hath a vineyard in a very fruitful hill:

(Isaiah 5:2)  And...

Another people related salvation study

By James J Dougherty, 2014-02-14

                                    Another people related salvation teaching

People today can be a mess- as was prophesied in the bible. God loves people- His creation so much that He did give His only Son so that they could have their sins forgiven and have their relationship restored to God.

(Isaiah 5:2)  And he fenced it, and gathered out the stones thereof, and planted it with the choicest vine, and built a tower in the midst of it, and also made a winepress therein: and he looked that it should bring forth grapes, and it brought forth wild grapes.

(Isaiah 5:3)  And...

people John and Romans salvation teaching

By James J Dougherty, 2014-02-15

People John and Romans salvation teaching

Here is a salvation teaching featuring scriptures about people then John chapters 3 and ten and also a salvation teaching from the epistle of Romans. These all show what Jesus did for mankind going to the cross and paying for the sins and taking the wrath of God on His shoulders thus enabling the love relationship to be restored between God/Jesus who are one and the same and mankind, who was created by them.

Passion in John and 1 Corinthians salvation teaching

By James J Dougherty, 2014-02-15

Passion in John and 1 Corinthians salvation study

Here is a salvation teaching and study combining the chapters containing the passion of Christ in John 13, 17 through 21 with the prayer for the disciples added along with the resurrection chapter, 1 Corinthians chapter 15. These convey the gospel message very powerfully relating what was done to restore the sin broken relationship between God and man, God’s creation. Jesus finished work on the cross paid for man’s sins with the perfect sacrifice that Only God could provide through His only Son.

I am starting this teaching or study with John chapter 13 which is the chapter where Jesus washes the disciples’ feet, Judas goes to betray Him, and then gives the command that we are indeed to love one another as Jesus loves us. The chapter then ends with Jesus foretelling that Peter will deny Jesus three times.

(John 13:1)  Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus...

ten chapter passion and resurrection bible study

By James J Dougherty, 2014-02-16

Ten chapter passion and resurrection bible study

Here is a bible study which contains the final nine chapters of John which in all reality constitute the full passion of Christ and also the resurrection chapter of 1 Corinthians. These messages all convey what Jesus went through in love for all of us, taking the wrath of God rightly directed to man for his sins, and also paid for the sins by dying on the cross, providing the perfect atonement for our sins for He who knew no sins became sin so that we might get righteousness as a result. It is the perfect act of love from a perfect God.

Here to start the study is the nine chapter passion of Christ in the gospel of John, which goes from chapters 13 through 21. The first chapter is where the Lord’s supper and Jesus washing the disciples feet happens, then next there are three chapters where Jesus teaches His disciples many things for their lives and there is...

fourteen chapter gospel of John bible study

By James J Dougherty, 2014-02-16

Fourteen chapter gospel of John expanded bible study

I am now doing a bible study covering fourteen of the chapters in the gospel of John, namely 3,5, 6, 10 and then the full passion and teaching which includes chapters 13 through the end, chapter 21. These chapters have Jesus powerful teachings of the gospel message, and relate a good many of the miracles that Jesus did.

To start this bible study, in John chapter 3 is the powerful dialog between Jesus and Nicodemus where Jesus relates how we MUST be born again- of the spirit and of the blood- in order to see and enter into the kingdom of God, as that which is born of the flesh is flesh and of the spirit, spirit. Jesus then reminds us God sent Jesus so the world might be saved and not condemned as He loves the world that much to send His Son. Those who do not believe are condemned already. John the Baptist then echoes Jesus’ words at the end of the chapter.

(John 3:1)  There...

Seven Powerful Psalms bible study

By James J Dougherty, 2014-02-17

                                    Seven Powerful Psalms bible study

Here are seven very powerful Psalms with both life application things and also praises for the Lord who is worthy of our praise. I present these to you all at His direction in the hopes you are uplifted and encouraged to live more for the Lord who loves you more than you can imagine so but also find things in there to challenge you so you can live better and more productive lives for His sake for we were created for His sake and not our own to worship Him and have fellowship with Him. I am also adding a short salvation teaching at the end which you can use to invite  Jesus in your heart and or share it with others to bring them to the Lord.

Psalm 37 has a powerful message stating to not worry about evil doers who will come to their judgments and hopefully be led to repent but trust in God at all times for all things who loves you more than you know and wants to bless you and...

John chapter 1 through 5 and Romans salvation study

By James J Dougherty, 2014-02-19

Salvation study John chapters 1 through 5 and Romans

Here is a salvation related bible study which combines the first five chapters of the gospel of John which describe the start of Jesus ministry, declaring Him to be the living word, with all of the miracles and powerful salvation related teachings which are contained in them. John is the strongest salvation related gospel of them all (at least in my own opinion, the others have other good teachings too, but more of John has to do with salvation than the other three). I am also including a teaching out of the epistle to the Romans by Paul from various chapters

Starting with the beginning, John chapter 1, which is the beginning of the ministry of Jesus and states how He is the word and how He came to save mankind. He is baptized and starts calling His disciples together.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was...
