Lyrics:
Your friends couldn’t stay awake for an hour with You
Bearing the weight of the world was all You knew
One follower arrived in your time of need
His kiss started your agony too hard to believe

Oh Lord for mankind’s sake
You ran towards

Rage and ridicule being hurled your way
Scourging and thorns creating excruciating pain
Being nailed to a cross supposedly your end
But they found your tomb empty instead

Like an outlaw the mob threw its wrath at you
Church and state could not convict nothing was true
Your silent defense made a deafening sound
You knew this path of horror and death held you bound

Oh Lord for mankind’s sake
You ran towards

Rage and ridicule being hurled your way
Scourging and thorns creating excruciating pain
Being nailed to a cross supposedly your end
But they found your tomb empty instead

On that third morn You shook creation to its core
Your tomb stone was moved inside only cloth nothing more
You had taken their worst and crushed sin for all time
Even death bowed to You its broken chains could no longer bind

Oh Lord for mankind’s sake
You ran towards

Rage and ridicule being hurled your way
Scourging and thorns creating excruciating pain
Being nailed to a cross supposedly your end
But they found your tomb empty instead

Oh Lord for mankind’s sake

Rage and ridicule being hurled your way
Scourging and thorns creating excruciating pain
Being nailed to a cross supposedly your end
But they found your tomb empty instead

They found it empty instead

They found it empty instead

Empty instead
