lies the hope of the ages

our hearts are aflame,

angels gave us the news
that Jesus is King!

 We rejoice in the light,
and we echo the song
that comes down that night
from the heavenly throng.
angels spoke to the shepherds
good news did they bring,
and we greet in his cradle
our Savior and King!
