He loved the sinners
the poor and the sick
 the foul mouthed soldiers
the harlots and the drunks
He never looked
 at their clothing, 
He looked at their soul
 He didn't just see a beggar,
 He saw the hungry heart

by dying for me
He proved He was God
once and for all
he rose from the dead
walked out of the grave
and visited friends
cooked them some supper 
and gave them a hug

by fulfilling
hundreds of prophesies 
he knew the future
and what was on our minds
multitudes were healed
he calmed the stormy sea
walked over the water
he set the captives free
