In the beginning 
was Jesus
and the word
 was with God,
 and Jesus was God
He was in the beginning 
with God.
All things
 were made 
by him; 
and without him 
was not any thing made
that was made

In the beginning 
God created 
the heavens 
and the earth
The earth 
was empty 
and had 
no form
 Darkness covered 
the ocean
and God’s Spirit 
was moving
 over the water

And God said, 
Let there be light:
 and there was light
And God saw the light,
 that it was good: 
and God divided the light
 from the darkness
And God called the light Day,
 and the darkness
 he called Night.
 And the evening 
and the morning 
were the first day

Where were you 
when I laid the foundation
 of the earth?
When the morning stars 
sang together 
and all the sons of God 
shouted for joy?
Don't you know?
    Haven't you heard?
Hasn't it been clear
    since the time of creation?
The Lord is the eternal God,
    Creator of the earth
