God created angels
they serve us night and day
they rejoice in our salvation
Helping us along the way

they have shut the mouths of lions
made them gentle as can be
And have opened prison doors
and set His children free

they led them out of danger
disposed of evil kings
protected little babies
underneath their wings

Angels appear in dreams
with warnings or good news
they fly across the universe
faster than a man can pray

sent from the throne of God
angels are often in disguise 
we may have met them unaware
helping us on our way

Jesus could have called heaven
legions of angels waited there
with their swords at the ready
to destroy His enemies

but he chose to die to save us
his life he freely gave
thank God for salvation
that only He could give

Jesus is coming with His angels
they will fill the sky
this world will have new rulers
King Jesus, you and I

sheep and goats will be divided
goats will all be sent away
along with all the demons
it will be their last goodbye
