the weapons 
of our warfare 
are not human ones
Our fight is not against 
people on earth
 
with swords and guns

after many failed crusades 
to fight and die for jerusalem
some people were angry
they knew they had been played

the old and young and poor
gathered to take a vow
just to use the gospel
weapons weren't allowed

this mostly young group
chose bibles over blades
they later became know as
the children's crusade

yet they were deceived 
and thought that the goal
was to liberate Jerusalem
from muslim control

this world is not our home
for which we fight and die
not for land in Israel
Our home is up on high
