What must I do to have eternal life?

THE NEW TESTAMENT

Matthew 19:16-26

16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?

17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,

19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

  20 The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?

21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.

23 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Sell everything give the money to the poor and then you will have treasures in heaven and then pick up your cross and follow me. Basically in the movie: " Everything my father slaved for and everything I have now. " He was a rich man. He said he kept the commandments but he lacked one thing and I'm just giving you a basic rundown. Remember Christ said if somebody goes to prisons and preaches or visits prisoners they have done it on to him. Some were told on the day of judgement they did it on to him and they're confused. So here your works become treasures in heaven and they can rote or they become eternal but it should be done for the right reason/motives. Now you might ask which I thought about what if somebody who's not saved and not a believer does such things as  good. I think of course it would be accepted if it had been for/with the right motive/reasons. He also told the apostles that a rich man entering the Kingdom of GOD is like a camel going through the eye of the needle? Virtually impossible! 

So we're saved by grace through faith and not by works but faith without works is dead. James 2:14-26 You have to do something. Sure you can see God as some sugar daddy just giving you the lottery. You see what will it profit you to gain the whole world and lose your soul. So when preaching I think it needs to be understood because people want and are attached to easy believe-ism . Let me in. Go away I never knew you. Away from me you workers of iniquity. What he is saying is you are evildoers and your hearts have not been regenerated. They are not his sheep as his sheep LISTEN to HIM . God knows the heart and he searches the reigns as it is written.

John 10:10

10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

God's Word says let not many of you desire to be masters because masters will be judged more harshly than regular people as regular Christians on milk. James 3:1-4 You see people want easy believe-ism. Without any effort and they say today people don't preach repentance anymore. Its 10:44 for March 24th 2022

In my first (1) notes I believe some preachers will receive various crowns and rewards by the Lord in the life to come because they didn't hold back when they had to preach a none lukewarm gospel. In other words they didn't sell easy believe-ism. They told the truth and they tended to people who were back sliding. Now the Matthew verse above is this New Testament? Sanctify them by thy truth. Thy word is truth!

Again this is the new testament and it does not en-vole  easy believe-ism. Remember you can make easy converts that are so weak they fall away.  God knows the reins and hearts of men so he knows those who are not truly believers . You are not saved by works but faith without works is DEAD. Just listening to a prayer probably will not SAVE YOU. A person needs to understand and there needs to be conviction/change to believe. You MUST believe in your hearts of the death burial and res-erection  of Christ .  Have you believed in vain? So many people believe lies and are not living the true life as in John 10:10 See people want a free ticket and that is John 3:16 but it is conditional. You have to believe in the gospel in the heart and be born again. John 3:3 You see it is not written in vain to pray that you be counted worthy. The very important aspect is are your truly saved and covered by the blood.   Its God who gives you a new spirit. It is not of men. Now something important Paul the Apostle came along later and things were relaxed. Paul was an apostle and yes he is a real apostle although there are those who try to discredit him. But still faith without works is dead. You have to believe in your heart the truth and your Sanctified by the truth.

You might think at first this is about salvation. Salvation is extremely important but you must understand it is not easy as people like and are attracted to easy believe-ism.
