Who were the rich man in the Bible? " Steven Cox identified the Rich Man with   Caiaphas, the High Priest (18-35) during Jesus's ministry . Cox notes that Caiaphas was not only rich, but that wearing purple and fine linen indicate his position as High Priest ".

I mean even discussing this topic could sound like a waste of time/irritable because there are a lot of rich people who consider themselves religious but don't have a relationship with the biblical Lord Jesus Christ but they think they do and some "they" claim they do. And if you're somebody who's middle class who's well-off then you might see things differently. I suppose the more you have the greater responsibility you will have especially if you are a true believer in Christ. You could do charity work and not know God and believe in atheism. The biblical Lord Jesus Christ said that many people serve him in vain. He said they have God on their lips but their hearts are far from him. You see God's word says that he highly esteems a contrite man or women and especially a God-fearing woman. So the prosperity preachers will uphold their prosperity gospel and claim that it's God who gave them the ability to gain riches. Who gave Judith the ability to sell out the master for 30 pieces of silver or whatever it was? Remember there is the story of Ananias and his wife Sapphira who lied to the Holy Ghost by selling property that belongs to God and holding back money some as theirs. Acts 5:1-11 when questioned by Apostle Peter being the man and woman separately they gave up their ghost and dropped dead. You see God has the ability to take you out. Henceforth we have the sin that is unpardonable in this life and the life to come.

Yes faith and courage coupled with mobility to utilize the power of your mind you can honestly get wealthy. But if a man or woman who becomes comforted in their wealth could/be warned end up losing their soul and so they have to be cautioned and God does caution them. The proof is in the story or being the parable about the master went away and the head servant abused the others and the master came back eventually and cut him asunder. Then there's the other one where the person hid their talents and so they were called lazy servants by the headmaster when he came back. Then there are the others that refuse to acknowledge the calling when they are called. They even refuse correct repentance. And so the headmaster had told his servant's go to the highways and byways and into towns and invite people to the wedding. What does that show? That Christ if people refuse to obey him his instruction is to get people that are undeserving and invite them to the wedding. And the door will be shut to those who repeatedly refused to obey. You can claim we're not saved by works and we're under grace but shall grace abound and shall we trample the blood of Christ? I'm not condoning don't work for a living and don't have a business nor don't be wealthy but if you are wealthy and you slip away you remember you will be just like that church in Revelation that became rich, comfortable and back slid-den. Jesus Christ warned them that he would come and take their lamp stand away. I might quote verses about wealth here if it's not quoted within the blog text. The truth is the apostles, disciples and martyrs did not live this wealthy life of following the world trying to please the world because it's enmity to befriend the world. James 4:4 many people have a misconstrued distorted narrow mind but God does not think as men think. Christ said the poor will inherit the earth as well as the meek if they indeed are poor. Look at the rich people in the Bible like Abraham but he kept too that narrow way. Especially JOB!!

Look at Josepth when he was persecuted by his own family and look he became the king eventually. (Joseph was sold by his brothers to Egypt, where he ultimately became ruler of the land, second only to King Pharaoh.)

  But even King David sinned with Bath-Sheba a beautiful woman and had her husband murdered. Yet they say he's a man after God's Own Heart. That he repented and King Solomon with the wisdom which came from God he understood all is vanity. You can say look at these beautiful flowers and great human temple but God is talking about his body of believers. He was raised from the dead. Many people have many Idols before the true God and they put him last but they say with the word of their mouth and with their tongue that they love God but they love the defiled wicked world more and they despise their own soul. Its very easy to stray and Christ said there's not even one who is good. The only way is to put your faith in the lord Jesus Christ and not to do it UN naturally but it has to come from your heart. You can force yourself to be good and never make it into his kingdom. It has to be that you have a heart of flesh and not that heart of stone that God cannot get through to you. You see we want healing and we want to see miracles but we refuse to obey the vine but we claim that we obey. Even some street preachers at times have gone  over board (Did some  research )  but they should not. Being abusive is not proper and Christ said on the Day of Judgment many will be called workers of iniquity and these appear to be true believers. Judgment starts at the house of God . You need to understand and many are perishing because they do not understand. The wicked world will tell you you'll be happy with material possessions but God says none of those could deliver your soul but absolutely become an obstacle/stumbling block and keep you back from his kingdom. The poor will inherit the earth. The least will be first in the kingdom of God.

In my after notes you might have had a Ministry for years and that is a great responsibility or you might be somebody just being a Christian that does it for free because you feel that is your duty. That's yet another reason why Christ said the hand can't say to the foot I have no need of you but it's a great responsibility for those who become super wealthy and especially those who become like rock stars in ministry. I personally do not feel that is proper and I know there are many true preachers that do not feel that is proper.
