Walk not after the flesh

How does a person overcome the flesh? There are Christians and even pastors that say they live the new life in Christ.  2 Corinthians 5:17 We know there are Christians on milk and Christians on meat. So people do stumble and even Apostle Paul said he was the chief of sinners. 1 Timothy 1:15 You know one of these street preachers doing his telecast show spoke one day about all the harsh things Apostle Paul said to people and others that are in scripture. Apostle Paul said he should be bold but we know that God hates arrogance people. He prefers a contrite man or a God-fearing woman. Christ said to be gentle as doves and wise as serpents. He paid the price in full and he is our measuring stick of righteousness. We have to seek his righteousness you see we are not saved by Good works. Ephesians 2:8-9 When talking about salvation it is impossible to be saved by Good works and I am sure even the Jews in the old testament had a hard time doing that. They broke the covenant and were exiled and there is your proof  Christ said to be perfect as your father in heaven is perfect. If he is not the shepherd but we want to be our own masters we will fail. He said he came to give you an abundance of life. And look at the blog I did before this about despising your soul to hell which tells us there's a way that many are not willing to do. ( Many perish with chains ) They have adapted the subliminal messages of the world and sometimes they don't renew their minds and the way they live is still similar to the way they've always lived. I don't mean when you put on the new man things don't change because they do but do your habits change? You know I've heard preachers do sermons from organize religion and criticize those who try to show people the way to overcome the flesh. They say at the end there's only empty promises. I've heard other preachers that have their own ministries and are not part of organized religion and actually despise it that say here is the way but so many are not doing it in essence. When one is attracted and influenced by the things of the world those things are distractions contrary to the spirit such as watching the news or putting in your mind things from the past that can influence fornication. You know it's like having  training wheels on a bike but you take them off but have to put them back on because you seem to stumble. Scripture tells us we have to renew our mind and delight in the law of the Lord ; " and in his law doth he meditate day and night. " 4.44 same day. The thief  on the cross wasn't delighting in the word of God but he realized just payment was due.

I think we're too busy sometimes not in prayer but allowing the subliminal messages to influence us and it's all around us in a God-hating world and so we try but we realize it's not easy. I come across a few people supervisors or teachers that have been 50 years and up working at a single job and yet their language was taken holy things in vain. Think about this they have 40 - 50 years some of these people in a job yet what comes off their tongue is death. The tongue has the power of life and death. If you were to speak with these people and ask if they believe in Jesus some of them do but which one? ( Many have religion but they don't have Christ ) The truth is you can be an actor and be famous but your personal life can be influenced by your superficial life. Do you practice what you preach? You see many preachers do not practice what they preach. They say they are soul winning but are they really soul winning?

In the book of Romans it is written "2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God ." How do you prove what is good and acceptable and perfect will of God? If everything is made new and now you are aware that the way you followed before is not the way then why are you stumbling? You're still holding on to the world in some aspects. You have to let it go and grasp onto Christ the shepherd.

In my after thoughts and after notes you know Jesus said there's not even one who is righteousness despite all of the prophets and their laws. Despite that he said there's never been somebody greater than John the Baptist. Even the religious elites were UN righteous. Eve disobeyed God and look what happened as Adam followed. You are a human being enticed all the time in/with many different methods with subliminal advertising and other ways to conform to the world and not to be transformed from it. So something is not right with people that are falling back into sin of the flesh. You have to let go and grasp on to the shepherd and follow because there's no other way. He has to be your instructor and your master. You have to be willing to do what it takes and even Christ said to pick up your cross every day. A man might lose his life that he may find it.
